just a little warning about paradise. yes amazing of course you know this. but now it is quickly getting busier and busier. constant traffic on the one highway of the island, constant cookie cutter neighborhoods being erected on the coast, golf courses right behind them on the lava fields, borders costco walmart safeway good old starbucks. you dont have to be on the road or in town too often if you are living on a farm but boy i did not like witnessing the grossness of our hands and how quickly we have taken over. i could not remain there and feel ok about it. but thats just me. be bold in the city alice!! the land and animals await you

oh girl i experienced this grossness firsthand and know exactly what you mean. i have so many doubts in my mind about lots and lots of things.. ahhh seriously there is SO MUCH that i want to talk to you about and so much that i want to say to you. i have been writing this gigantic letter in my head that starts out with dear blair you are so amazing and inspire me in the greatest ways. but these fingers havent made their way to the keys and these thoughts have not yet transfered onto construction paper. i have honestly been thinking about this letter for weeks. it seems like i could just write and write and never stop. why i havent even started yet is a mystery. but soon. i promise. man i wish you were here in person so we could sit down in the grass and talk for hours! but anyways! i hope you are doing well and say hi to the ostriches for me.

i wrote you a letter the other day but i already have more to share so it will be a double dose when i send it. sometimes i have so much to say in letters that when i finally write them i feel like im leaving everything out and didnt say anything of consequence at all. it will be better when we can just babble to each other, even if it will be in boston..which i must say im sort of scared about heh. the ostriches wave a morning hello at you over there
