This may be the most awesome lj post I have read in quite some time. I'm so glad you got to meet her, that feeling is so undeniably special. Mmmm. I love it. And who cares about stupid girly crying. Because I was so the same way. And I had to keep checking my ticket stub that it actually HAD been signed, and that I HAD been there, for weeks.

I know! I keep looking at the pictures and my wallet and sometimes I'll close my eyes and try to relive the moment when she kissed me. I haven't felt that special in a long time.

I finally met Kweller this past week, and I was literally shaking. Unbelievable. Just. That shock of someone who's impacted your life so much being right there in front of you is just, well, overwhelming. Over.fucking.whelming.

I know. Like I said, I was just...overcome with a wave of intensity...I couldn't even believe what was happening. Even as I was standing in line in the fucking hottest sun ever to grace the sky, I smiled at the fact that I was about to meet the one musically inclined person that has impacted my life in more of a profound way than anybody else.

Crazy.

Interesting how this works, but let me just say this. I am 20 years older than you and felt exactly the same way when I met her. Pretty awesome, huh?

I'm getting a fuzzy feeling just reading this...
So I can't even imagine how intense it actually was, but, thank you for sharing it :)
I'm pretty sure Amanda's never going to visit my neck of the woods..
but, as soon as humanly possible (when I can get money & a car for starters) I'll catch a flight *anywhere* to see something that powerful : ]
And I could see myself doing what you did in the car...not knowing what the hell to do xD

Haha, it was hilarious! It didn't hit me, and then I was like, "WHAT!@?" So I slammed my breaks and then had to calm myself down before endangering other drivers.

Whenever you get the chance, please watch her perform. It's...outstanding. I mean, we all love Amanda, but seeing her in person is something quite special.
