Jury Duty

I have been summoned for Jury Duty by Dallas County...weeeeee.

I would love to serve on a jury, I would like to be paid by my employer more though :)

Anyone served on a Dallas County jury lately?

Do you know if I can take my laptop?

i postponed it claiming work hardship. essentially if you are a contractor, and you lose a significant amount of income as a direct result, you can request a postponement.

Gonna go ahead and say no on bringing a laptop. What with being able to convey case information to the outside world.

I don't recall being able to use a laptop when I went in several months ago---I don't even remember anyone being on one, either. Bring a book! You could need it. I lucked out because I was in the first group to get called, but you could be there all day just waiting to be called. Not fun.
