Part 1: The Basics

1. What is your full name?
Daniel Nathanial Smalls. I'm not kidding. My mom thought it was cute.

2. Where and when were you born?
Phoenix, Arizona. September 1st, 1982.

3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
Anne Smalls. She took care of kids at a day care center and then moved on to teaching a few years ago. She's a guardian angel, but she's never found her ward. Carl Smalls. He works in computers, and he's an angel of knowledge. They were okay, I guess. I don't talk to them much anymore, except letters. A phone call at Christmas and their birthdays. I know it makes them sad, but I'm an asshole so.

Uh. They were real good parents, real nice. They made you feel like you could do anything, like you could be yourself. Fuck, I think if I told them I wanted to crossdress and headline a show at Las Vegas, they'd be supportive of that shit. It just didn't do me a whole lotta good, cause the rest of the world ain't like that. Whoever you are... it ain't good enough for the... rest of the world.

4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?

I have two sisters. One's ten years older than me. The other is ten years younger. We're not really close, but I always tried to look out for my little sister for all the good it did her. She was more popular than me in school anyway. She didn't need my help. I never knew the older one at all. They're both angels of knowledge like my dad. I'm the only one that fell far from the tree.

5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.

I live in the Conrad. It's free. There are a lot of archangels down there so I like it. It's pretty easy to find monsters right outside your front door. Can't complain much.

Jesus lives down here so if I did complain, God would sizzle me good. What's good enough for Jesus should be good enough for Danny Smalls, He'd say. And so it is. Jesus can fly. Jesus likes to take her friends flying. It's a nice, little perk of being in her posse.

There's also this really short, mean chick who lives a few doors down. I call her Barbie aka Tiny Dancer. She don't like sharing, and she'll tackle you if you eat her candy, and yell at you a lot, and promise to end your world by making you choke on her twizzlers. Which is not what the kids are using these days to describe some kinda sexual act. Thank God. Worst part about living here. ;)

6. What is your occupation?

Kicking monster ass. Actually, it's not just an occupation. It's a way of life.

I still got money saved up from when I actually had a job so I haven't needed to get another yet. I worked in a weapons store. No, it wasn't Swords 'R Us.

7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.

Fuck, why does anybody care what I look like? I'm 5'5". Yeah, I'm short. Get your laughs out now. It's so funny. I know. I'm white with brown hair and brown eyes, and it's really fucking boring. I like wearing jeans, shirts, and leather coats. Boxers, not briefs. I got drunk once, and I got a tattoo of a lion stalking a rabbit on my left shoulder blade. There are scars all over. I've had more broken bones, scrapes, and lacerations than I can count or remember, but there's plenty of proof. It's part of the monster-kicking lifestyle.

8. To which social class do you belong?

The archangel social class? How the fuck should I know?

9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?

Nope. I'm 100% perfect.

10. Are you right- or left-handed?

Right handed.

11. What does your voice sound like?

THE FUCK? What kinda questions are these? How'm I supposed to answer it? My voice fucking sounds like me. Like a British guy that's struggling to hold on to his American accent.

12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?

Fuck, fucking, shit, asshole. Monster. Some kinda phrase talkin about how badass I am.

13. What do you have in your pockets?

Pocket knife, wallet, half a twizzler (Don't tell, Tiny Dancer).

14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?

No. I guess I talk with whatever's in my hand even if what's in my hand is a sword or a gun, which for some reason freaks people out. I got a habit of being annoying at people? Cause it's fun and it's easier being an asshole. Got a habit of givin people nicknames, too. And stealing their candy.

Part 2: Growing Up

15. How would you describe your childhood in general?

School was shitty. My home life was fine. I was a nerd. An awkward, regular nerd type. I was shorter and skinnier than everybody else, wore clotehs that weren't the most stylish. I couldn't talk to nobody cause every time I tried I'd get to stuttering so bad nobody'd understand me. Got bullied a lot.

16. What is your earliest memory?

My mom. I don't remember what was happening. I just remember taking her hand.

17. How much schooling have you had?

High school. Three years of college, but I didn't ever graduate. I don't count archangel camp schooling, but we did have classes.

18. Did you enjoy school?

Oh, yeah. Nothin I like better than school. Yeah. Loved it. Sarcasm.

I liked learning for what it was worth. Most of the time I was too fuckin distracted to retain any of the information. I got C's, but I think if it-- if I wasn't being bullied, I could've got A's. I liked learning and reading back then.

19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?

Archangel camp taught me all I knew about fighting, even if I got in trouble over there.

20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.

No, I didn't.

21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?

Okay.

22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Fuck, I don't like thinking back this far. I wanted to be an astronaut. Did a report on it and everything. Wanted to walk on the moon.

23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?

Reading. I read a lot and spent a lot of time in my room. I made models of shit like the planets and airplanes and ships in a bottle. It wasn't even for class or anything. I just liked doing it.

24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?

Shy, awkward, smart, unsure, sheltered, nerdy, unfocused.

25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?

No. I was pretty good friends with the janitor cause he kept pulling me out of lockers, and there was this group of "non-cool" kids who'd eat lunch with me.

26. When and with whom was your first kiss?

... I haven't really kissed anybody. Like I said, I was the least cool kid in school, even after I became an archangel. I just let people push me around. I used to think they'd like me if I let them do what they wanted so one day i get tough enough to fight back. I kick the guys ass obviously and get suspended and then everybody's scared of me. I was like poison in school. If you wanted to keep your friends and your status, you didn't get near Daniel Nathaniel. Yeah, everybody had to use both names every time.

The archangel camp. They separated girls from boys. I got close to kissing this other woman once. I didn't really find her attractive, but I had the bad thing going for me. The rebel thing so I guess she was into it. We got caught before we could actually kiss, and I left the camp shortly after that, cause I couldn't obey rules and I didn't want to.

27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?

See above.

28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today.

Well, for those of us that are angels, we all know. We're human and then we turn sixteen and everything explodes into pain. A day later, you got your wings, and you're not human anymore. You're an angel, and you got a calling, and you better follow that calling or suffer the consequences.

Part 3: Past Influences

29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
When I graduated high school, I went to college. I'd had enough of school, but my parents wanted me to go. I went for them. It was okay though for the most part. People didn't give a shit how awkward you were. They wanted to get their diplomas and get out. They didn't care who the fuck you were. I got along real well with my room mate, who was kinda weird like I was.

We went out to some bar, and I was with him, and he hit on guy so then the whole bar erupts in people who are homophobic and people who aren't, and I'm in the middle of it (I'm not by the way). I got tired of being pushed around and I fought back really fucking hard. I mean I heard some teeth fall on the floor if you get my meaning. Unfortunately, I wasn't real good at fighting and wasn't really paying attention to whose ass I was kicking so both groups decide to kick mine. I got the beating of my life, and it's pretty fucking lucky that I'm resilient and I could get up again after that shit.

I was in the hopsital for a long time, and I had a room mate there. Can't remember what that old guy was in for. His name was Richard, and i told him what happened, and he told me, fuck all those assholes out there, Danny boy. You decide who you are.

Richard showed me the light. I figured out the rest. You can't just be yourself. You gotta be better. You gotta be stronger, and you gotta hit them before they hit you.

30. Who has had the most influence on you?

Richard.

31. What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Getting the fuck out of Phoenix and learning how to fight. I've killed a lot of monsters.

32. What is your greatest regret?

I regret that becoming who I am meant leaving my family behind and making them feel like... they lost me. That's what my mom said when I got back from the hospital, all fixed up. I was different. I wasn't their son anymore, and we all knew it.

33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?

I don't know. I've killed people before. They were bad people. I can be pretty fucking mean. I was mean to that girl that wanted to kiss me. Said some mean shit to her. Don't know if that counts as evil or human.

34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind?

I'm sure I do. I've been locked up a few times for assault that sort of shit. They all deserved it.

35. When was the time you were the most frightened?

When I was getting the ever loving shit beat out of me. I throw myself out there a lot, but dying's still scary, and even then I knew how close I was.

36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?

I don't think I should answer this question. this whole fuckin survey's been embarrassing.

37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?

I would make me like this from the start. I'd change me.

38. What is your best memory?

Archangel camp. It was the first time I ever felt like I fit in anywhere.

39. What is your worst memory?

Telling my mom that I was leaving.

Part 4: Beliefs And Opinions

40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?

Neither? I'm more of a realist.

41. What is your greatest fear?

I'm scared of becoming that kid that I was before.

42. What are your religious views?

I have none.

43. What are your political views?

Don't really pay attention. Probably a democrat if I had to choose.

44. What are your views on sex?

I would like to have it at some point? I think it's overrated if you can go so long without it and not really mind.

45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?

Yes, I am able to kill. If I'm threatened, I'll beat the shit out of what threatens me. If they've killed someone innocent, I won't hesitate.

46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?

I think hate crimes are fucking evil. No matter the group that it's aimed toward.

47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?

Not really.

48. What do you believe makes a successful life?

I don't know, if you're happy, if you make it your own.

49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?

I'm not all that honest. Or maybe I am. It's hard to tell.

50. Do you have any biases or prejudices?

I think demons suck. I haven't met many, but I think more archangels are just made to get a negative bias toward demons. Even if the bias isn't true. I'll give anybody a chance. I mean, I try to be an asshole to everyone equally without regard to species or age or race or anything else.

51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?

Yeah, there's plenty of things I'd refuse to do. I'm not gonna torture nobody. I don't like to. I'm not gonna rape anybody. This is kinda a broad question. I could say I'd never have sex with a pig from Old McDonald's Farm. but then I could say I'd never have sex with this other animal or do anything related to bestiality. See how this question could go on forever?

52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?

Plenty of people. Fuck, I'd rather die than have some kid die. If there's a choice in it. I'm not gonna just let some kid die while I stand back. I'd die for Jessi and Phoebe and Rogue. Sure, dying's scary but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Part 5: Relationships With Others

53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?

Generally, I'm an asshole. I can be a bully to them. Ironic, I know. I keep almost everybody at a distance. There's some shit that I'd never fuckin talk about, even if I have to talk about it for this stupid question thing. Yeah, it changes for certain people. I don't know why. It depends how they respond to my asshole-ness. If I know them better, I'm not such a jerk toward them. Generally. Unless you've promised to end my world.

54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?

I don't really have one.

55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?

I respect Jessi a lot. Jesus, too, cause she's powerful. I respect Vincent, too. You kinda got to. The archangel just exudes I am worthy of your respect, and I don't even like people in positions of authority. Usually.

56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
Phoebe and Rogue. Got a few archangel buddies downstairs, too.

Phoebe is too sweet for her own good sometimes. She's funny, really thoughtful, and just... unique. She's one of those really good people. You can tell. She has a good heart, and people like that are hard to find in this world. She's good at tackling and easy to rile up. I don't like seeing her sad. Her reactions to me being an asshole to her are pretty damn entertaining. I'm guessing by now she realizes that I'm not really serious about most of what I say. It doesn't help that I went over and was you know... trying to be helpful that one time.

Rogue is Jesus. She can fly, and she's good at kicking ass and fun to kick ass with. Plus, she's hilarious, and her jokes are horrible but she actually thinks they're funny, which is what makes the jokes funny. She uses weird words and phrases. If you tease her, she'll tease right fuckin' back, just kinda rolling with the punches. I like that. I don't know. She's cool, and when she smiles, it's easier for me to smile, too. And she probably has figured out that I give a fuck about her, too.

The fact that they both know already doesn't make this any less embarrassing.

57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.

I'm currently dating someone? Her name is Jessi. She's beautiful. The kind of beautiful that's deeper than just the looks (she's beautiful looks-wise alone), and I don't know. I was never really an asshole to her. It's easier to be myself around her, and I don't know why. It always has been since the first time I met her outside a mall. She's nice, cute, funny, and she likes me. She's brave. I think she's a lot braver and a lot stronger than she gives herself credit for. I like her a lot, and I haven't ever liked anyone like I like her before. I never really thought about you know... this stuff. We're winging it together so I guess we'll see it.

She has a really awesome son, too. His name is Justin. He's a cool kid, and I think he looks up to me.

58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.

No, I don't think so.

59. What do you look for in a potential lover?

I've never really looked.

60. How close are you to your family?

Not close at all.

61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?

No.

62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?

It depends on what I needed help with. If I needed advice about the relationship stuff or what to wear, I'd ask Phoebe. If I needed help fighting a monster, I'd go to Rogue. If I needed help for anything else, I don't know if I'd admit it. But if there's anybody I'd be willing to admit it to, it'd probably be Jessi.

63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?

Myself? I don't want anyone protecting me.

64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?

The people that I talked about up there. My parents would care, but they probably wouldn't find out. They'd just have to assume when the letters stop coming.

65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?

I'm not a huge fan of Jessi's brother at the moment. Despise is a strong word, but I don't like him.

66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?

Argue. I used to avoid conflict, and conflict found me anyway.

67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?

Depends on the situation. I'm more of a rebel than a leader.

68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?

Not really. There's usually a large percentage of the group that'll end up hating me by the end of the interaction.

69. Do you care what others think of you?

Not anymore. Course I usually don't give them the chance to think anything but what I want them to think about me.

Part 6: Likes And Dislikes

70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?

Killing monsters.

I like bowling, too. I like playing sports and... you didn't hear this from me, I used to love playing board games. My family had board game nights together.

71. What is your most treasured possession?

Don't really have one. I guess this pocket knife. I bought it after I got out of the hospital. I don't even use it to fight anymore. It's just always with me.

72. What is your favorite color?

Black

73. What is your favorite food?

Hamburgers, especially the ones from that epic burger place.

74. What, if anything, do you like to read?

I haven't done much reading in awhile. I think I'm almost worried about starting again. Like it'll somehow transform me into who I used to be.

75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?

Action flicks. Indie flicks. Horror films. I listen to all kinds of music. Country, oldies, classic rock. I've made a few good kicking monster ass playlists filled with music. Makes the experience all the more fun.

76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?

I don't do any of those things. Never liked something else being in control of my body.

77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?

You've gotta be real tired of this answer by now. Kicking monster ass? If I can't find any, I might be eating a burger or figuring out how to annoy Barbie.

78. What makes you laugh?

Phoebe, Rogue, Jessi.

There are some funny movies out there, and funny jokes on the internet.

79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?

Hate crimes. People who participate in them or are of that mentality.

80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?

Sneak into Phoebe's room, put shaving cream in her hand, and tickle her nose with a feather.

81. How do you deal with stress?

I fight shit.

82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?

Spontaneous. I almost never have a plan.

83. What are your pet peeves?

Idiots? Is that too general? I don't like when people try to control other people. You gotta let people do whatever the fuck they want within reason.

Part 7: Self Images And Etc.

84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?

Oh fuck, this question is stupid. I get up. I get ready for the day. I go out and kick ass. I come home and get ready for sleep. I don't really got a routine. Every day is different.

85. What is your greatest strength as a person?

I'm tough.

86. What is your greatest weakness?

I'm not as tough as I'd like people to believe.

87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I would be as tough as I want people to believe I am. Ya know. Somebody who doesn't really give a shit.

88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?

Extroverted.

89. Are you generally organized or messy?

Messy, but I can always find what I need when I need it.

90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at. I'm good at fighting, being an ass, and not getting pushed around. I'm bad at bowling, relationships, and talking about... feelings.

91. Do you like yourself?

More than I used to.

92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons...)

I do it, because I don't know. I'm good at it. It's fun. I enjoy it. It's a rush. It's exhilarating. Those are the reasons that I tell others.

I do it, because I remember how fucking shitty it feels to get the life beaten out of you. I don't want anyone else experiencing that. I do it, because I want to be tough on the outside and the inside. I want to be able to back up my asshole attitude so if someone punches me in the face, I can fight back.

93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?

I don't have any goals. I'd

I kinda want a family, you know? I just don't know if this me can have a family, even if it's one he makes up himself. It's just not in the cards for Danny.

94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I don't. I can't look ahead that far.

95. If you could choose, how would you want to die?

Saving someone. I'd like to die after I've saved them. Not fail in saving them by dying before I could do it.

96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.

Fuck. I'd have sex. One way or another. I'd hire a fucking prostitute. I'm not gonna die a virgin. I hope.

I'd write a letter out to my mom, explaining why I changed so much so she doesn't think that. I just didn't want to be around them anymore or something.

I'd have one last adventure.

97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?

I don't know. I'd like them to remember that you know, he was an asshole, but a lot of people are alive today... cause of him.

98. What three words best describe your personality?

Fighter, strong, and sarcastic.

99. What three words would others probably use to describe you?

Got no clue. Asshole? Badass? I wish I could be like him?

Yeah, that's not a third word, but I don't usually follow the rules.

100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character? (You might even want to speak as if he or she were sitting right here in front of you, and use proper tone so he or she might heed your advice...)

There's no way that you'll ever heed this advice. No matter the tone. Danny, it's okay to show that you care. It's okay to open up. It's okay to love. Do not make fun of me! Or start acting like you're using a box of tissues. Boo hoo. You can be strong and open. You don't have to be an asshole so people won't treat you like shit. There are other ways of standing up for yourself.
