Yeah...back from the days when video game marketers thought Japanese art would scare customers away, so they tried to ultra-Americanize everything. The MegaMan 2 packaging wasn't much better. They got over most of that hangup in the packaging of MegaMan 3 onward though.

fact: this cover for the first megaman was rushed at the last minute by an artist that had NO concept of the game.
