I can't account for what happened when Sean first got here because I didn't meet up with Mindi and Sean until after I got off work, after they'd already had a series of adventures involving banks and airports.
They asked me where a place to go in Wicker Park would be that they could like sit and wait for me.
I told them Earwax.
I didn't take this picture. It is much colder in Chicago now.
It was the simpatico that could have been, had Geoff moved to Rochester instead of me.
we went back to my house and sean did some internet. this photo misrepresents sean's otherwise thin disposition. it makes his tum look bulbous and wide, like a mama kitty's belly is wide when she is fat with child.
I didn't tell Sean to make that moustache. I told him to beard a grow, but I did not tell him to moustache one.
Similarly, I did not tell Mindi to face her cover.
We're all in love with Sean.
After the movie, we walked looking for a bus.
it was rain snowing and we didn't even like it.
The next night we got on a bus and went up to Roger's Park to see Denise Dooley and eat a food.
She received us and made us eat fabulous food!
Why are you taking a picture of me?
The ghost in the kitchen.
Photograph the season!
Take a picture of us enjoying the season! Some adjacent men said, "Make that flash again."
"Oh, it's a camera." What did you think it was?
I took pictures of denise too but they were blurry as all fuck. This is us going to the party for canvassers that sean came to chicago for.
Denise said, "You guys don't even look like yourselvse! YOu look all..."
"Road weary?"
"...weathered! Take a picture of me looking road weary and weathered"
"Wanna piece a pie, hon? More ice wata sweety?"
Oh, stevo came to this. Weird. What a... uhh... a small world.
This is sean's batman obama shirt.
Standing on the porch
And being so happy
stevos band plays. the party gets really tired and less party.
The lady guadalupe
What happened then was we went home and went to bed and met up with sean's dad to take him back to iowa, thus ending sean's career as a glorified canvasser and ending the thing sean was doing in san fransisco and the reason he moved to ann arbor and eventually ended up in denver for. So begins a new chapter where sean grows a beard, is a stricter vegan and wears tighter blue jeans. But where? Chicago? Austin? DC? Seattle? A world of options opens up for Sean, possibilities bereft of restraint of posessions and obligations. One wonders if Sean's very existence is the stuff of dreams and fiction, and, in a way I guess it is. But it's Sean's to do with as he pleases. I tell Sean to move to Chicago strictly for selfish reasons, but Sean sees himself getting by here very easily. Like I say, a world of options.
