Good old Jamie might be able to spot Sirius in a rather heated debate with one unperturbed-looking drone in the doorway of what apparently passed as a bar around these parts. There's no small amount of arm-flailing on his part, and a second later, the door is unceremoniously slammed in his face. He looks a bit put-out at this.

[James pauses in his work.]

[His tone is slightly exasperated but more than a little fond.]

He looked up, a bit startled, from his position.

"Damn town. Not Padfoot so much anymore, am I? Took away my animagus abilities, now I can't even hear you when you sneak up on me." He sighed dramatically, and strode up to James. "What are you doing out? Shouldn't you be trying to convince Lily you're not bodysnatched?"

[A pale faced girl with blue hair walks by James, making notes in a book of her own, occasionally leaving a chalk marking on the street or sidewalk.]

[James doesn't notice the girl until he passes one of her earlier marks. Then he stops, looking around until he figures out where it came from, and runs back toward her.]

Excuse me, miss, but- can I ask what you're doing?

[She looks up at the man and in a quiet, emotionless voice]

"Mapping the town out on a grid to determine where exactly the loop points are. That and seeing where the highest concentrations of drones are."

"And avoiding my housemates."

[James looks around! He thinks he heard someone start to say his name. But he doesn't see anyone he recognizes. There's a boy just a bit younger than him looking his way, though, who looks the tiniest bit familiar.]

[Now that he's looking at him properly, he can see it's not Potter, but the resemblance is really uncanny. Didn't Lovegood say Harry's father was here?]

[Probably one of Harry's schoolmates, then. If so, his parents should have been at Hogwarts when James had. Maybe the boy took after one of his parents, and that was what seemed familiar about him.]
