I always contemplated that. Just because I'm Portuguese doesn't mean I'm a Latina or w/e. I wouldn't count myself as white either because my culture is way different from the typical "white cultures" in Europe.

I'd also like too add..why should it matter on what we are on those tests. That's what I always wondered.

Yeah, I've never understood why, if it was so important to the Test People, kids could just write their ethnicity instead of the "race".

Funny you should mention both Arabic people and Haitian people, since those are my parents' heritages. Which makes me a slightly odd mix. Anyhow, I've never been able to satisfactorily answer that question, and whenever possible, I just leave the little bubble blank.

Yeah, filling in that kind of thing always makes me a little uncomfortable... it's odd that they'd need something like that instead of being focused on the test scores. But cool, Haitian -- we share an island (I'm Dominican). :D

i agree, they r very limited on their choices for races...and also, i dont see why it makes that big of deal why they need to know...another thing, is the religion bubbles you sometimes have to fill in..i just leave it blank sometimes.

Instead of caucasian, then, you should ask the Test People to write something else. Like "whizzite" or "peachy keen", if you want a name according to your color. [/doesn't make sense, either]

.....i think you should start a world-wide protest, but instead of leaving the bubble blank..get this, everyone fills in other. EVERYONE!! until there is either a bubble for everyone or no bubbles at all!!!!!!!!!!! plus us irish people are freakin' cool we should have our own bubble! now i'm getting all riled up, thanks lucia
