Chapter two.
Part two.
First Day Of My Life.
July, 2005.
It had been two weeks since You first met Brook and every morning since then, You've woken up next to her, happier then ever. You didn't have sex each night. That would have been too much. It only happened that one night. Usually she'd (on purpose, You were convinced by now,) fall asleep on Your couch- or pretend to- so You'd just close Your eyes and fall asleep with the beautiful girl in Your arms.
Things changed since she had first approached You that day on the roof. Instead of seeing this girl, You've found a beautiful person- probably the most beautiful person You'd ever met- not just on the outside but also on the inside. Her way of looking at the world. The way she understands why Your so shy and quiet while she’s totally opposite most of the time. The way that she can be shy like You. Also, the freckles that littered her nose and cheeks. Her thin lips.
It was strange how You could all of a sudden connect with this person when all Your life You'd never been able to even talk to anyone other then Your family. You didn't question this, though. You didn't question anything. Everything was perfect. You didn't even question how it was too perfect.
This was the second real date that You and Brook have been on. You didn't want to be too cheesy, so You just brought her out to dinner then go back home.
Dinner was pleasant. You went to a restaurant that You could just barely afford. Without being told, Brook knew this and ordered something cheap but didn't call You out about it. She understood how tight money was with You mostly because it was the same with her.
You decided that a walk through Central Park would be nice. The moon was shining bright and You could even see a few stars above the cities sky. The two of You placed Yourselves on the edge of a bridge that crossed over one of the small lakes.
Tonight she wore a black dress that came up to tie behind he neck. You just wore a black button down over a white tee shirt, leaving the buttons only have done. Even in the warm weather, You could tell that Brook was wearing a layer of Goosebumps so You offered her the only layer You could. She kept telling You she was sorry but You told her not to worry about it.
Brook went from holding Your hand, to leaning against You, to laying with her head in Your lap. You look down at the beautiful girl in Your lap and had no idea how You were blessed with it. He hair looked dark, even with the lights shining above You. Her lips were slightly parted and eyelids were shut lightly over the eyes that You couldn’t help but get lost in. You lean down and press Your lips to hers. Brook’s smile mirrored Your own.
When You pull away, You smile down at her and say, “We should probably get back home.” She smiles then the two of You stand and walk to 77th Street to flag down a cab back to Brooklyn.
You both walk up the few flights of stairs to Brook’s apartment. Both of You had every intention that You were going to have sex but, You didn’t really linger on the subject. You didn’t think of once the door was shut, You two were going to go right to a crazy make out session or if You were going to try to be as casual as possibly or if she was going to seduce You. You didn’t care how it happened or if it’d happen. You just cared about being with her.
Then a thought comes to Your mind and You really think You love her.
