India trip part 8: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat

62% of the people who live in Mumbai live in slums. 62%!!! On what is only 6% of the city's land! 1/3rd of the residents have no access to clean water. And in 2015, Mumbai will become the world's largest city. It will have more people than Australia or all of Scandinavia. IN ONE CITY. Seriously, think about draining every human being in Scandinavia

This whole post was incredibly fascinating & very sobering. I wish all the people of the world could see this kind of stuff with their own eyes, to see how other people live. Would give them all sorts of perspective. Well, I hope anyway LOL

It definitely was! I'm going to be putting together a blurb book soon, i need to consult with Thomas to make sure I don't forget anything to put in there. My memories are already fading! I really, really hate how bad my memory is... :(
