Boy, did I start my morning off bad. I got up and was just taking my grand ole time. I was getting ready to exercise (I'm trying to get back in a routine) because I didn't have to be at work until 1:30. Big mistake! I got a call from the office around 9:30. I totally know how you feel. I hate when my day starts off wrong. It makes for a long day. And nothing goes as planned.

That is very sad about your daughters friend. My mother in law's brother died. She is very upset. He was only 62, he died of viral pneumonia. He got sick and within two weeks his body shut down. Really makes you think and be thankful everyday for the things in your life.

I think our parents must have been the same age! I heard the same thing growing up in the fifties, not you have to do things, but you get to do things. My Dad always said life was a privilege to be thankful for, but he had lived through the great depression and WWII.
Sorry about your friend's illness. Illness and approaching death are difficult to deal with at best, but two in a row in such a short time must be really tough. My heart goes out to him. He must be one special man. Sounds like your daughter has a special boss.

I agree, waking up late and rushing to get to work after you are already late just makes your whole day miserable. I feel the same way. Sometimes the littliest things happen to me and I think that I am not going to make it, even though they aren't even that bad of things. Then I look at my friends or relatives or just anyone really and see how bad some people have it and then I feel lucky to be me with my problems.
