i'm always astonished when i found out that not everyone is a slasher, and not everyone ships mcshep. it blows my mind! hah. now that i'm actively involved in fandom, i'm starting to realise things like this! WEIRD! but, yay variety

im also totally jack/sam and a tiny bit john/elizabeth (but all my atlantis ships are a tiny bit. like a little john/teyla too and a little ronan/teyla and a little mckay/keller but that ones littlest)

hahaha. i don't hardcore ship anyone but john/rodney, and john with a girl is just...no for me now :D to be fair, i don't ship anything else hardcore, cept daniel/vala and even then i'm not interested in reading fic or anything like that.

lol, I sort of had that problem after being in RPF fandoms for so many years. EVERYONE was a slasher, and everyone was cool with everyone else's ships. I admit, I miss my happy slash bubble, lol.

Aww, I can understand feeling that way. I like Daniel/Vala on the show, but it doesn't really cross over into fandom for me. And we all have our ships that make us feel that way.

I'm also feeling sort of bleeeh towards S9-10 because it seems like everyone I know who is into SG-1 acts like they are the only seasons of the show and it makes me sad. And some people watching it for the first time have basically made it a race to get to the last two seasons which makes me double sad.

When I watched it I wanted to get to the end to see Vala cause I'd seen pictures and icons and stuff and thought she sounded/looked/was awesome but I wasn't particularly racing as I just loved it all so much. And as much as I love Vala, and at parts Cam, lack of original SG1 is sad at the end too. More Jack and his humour please? :D

I'm not a slasher, but I didn't/don't ship anyone in the Stargate realm. I don't like Daniel/Vala either, but I don't really know why.

I'm glad you're getting things under control. *nods* and good luck on that midterm. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :)

I don't understand ANYONE who can't think john is gay. like seriously. I never used to ship anything that wasn't canon (i've only really started getting into it since i opened whedonland and i got indroduced to other ships, and then got into star trek) BUT I STILL SAW IT. way back when i watched it and was barely on LJ.

But i also understand people that don't step outside the canon bubble because i used to be one of those :D
