The Leaf is so ugly it hurts though.. I wouldn't be caught dead in that thing. More practical, yes, but fails in every other way.

Yeah but how much more will you be paying for electricity for the Aptera? It's not a fair comparison otherwise.

I think I need to re-do this list in Cents-per-mile and then it will be a good comparison.

It's gonna be years before they can ramp up production to meet the demand. Until then, I expect the Type-2's to be extremely expensive. Sucks. :P

Yeah seems like it.. and by the look of their website I'd say the car doesn't even sound nearly finished... They're still "undeclared" on battery type and other things.. it's odd because I really thought they had that nailed down quite a while ago. The car is looking nicer than it did in the Typ-1 days though. I definitely see big improvements on the interior design.

Any idea how much the Aptera is going to cost? If it's on the website, it's well-hidden.

I suspect they don't actually know themselves, because they haven't set up the production line yet. Just getting on the waiting list will be $500, plz!

The Aptera's price has been quoted between $25,000 to $30,000.
