The sound of someone whimpering stops Sho on his tracks.
It’s raw and hungry and somewhat painfully familiar Sho knows who it is despite not being able to see, his attention rivets to the person he saw a while ago, the same person who caught his attention.
Sho takes two steps back into the shadows where he knows the man couldn’t see him, watching as the man fishes his phone from the pockets of his stylish pants and plasters it to his ear. He is vaguely aware of the sound of cursing happening not even a few centimeters away from him, followed by the sounds of someone begging for a kiss as Sho’s heart clenches involuntarily at the sight of the person’s worried expression as he wobbles towards the path leading to the bushes.
Sho doesn’t even hesitate as he steps out of the shadows, ignores the slick sounds of lips meeting and parting as he lets his feet take him to the man with mouth built for sin.

Two steps, three, and Sho finds himself reaching out as if on autopilot before he could even stop himself, fingers finding the man’s forearm to steady him.
“Woah there!” he grunts, tugging the man back before he ends up stumbling on the ground, his phone still in his ear. “Hey buddy, you okay?”
The man chuckles drily, and even the sound of it is enough to make Sho hot it is almost unbearable. Then the man snaps his eyes to meet his and Sho is certain he’s not prepare for it, for the way his insides twist and clenches the second the man’s rather unfocused gaze settles on his face.
“A little tipsy, sorry,” the man apologizes, tugging his hand discreetly away from Sho’s vice-like grip. It takes Sho a minute to realize he’s still holding the man’s forearm firmly, almost possessively.
“Sure you can stand on your own without stumbling?” he manages to grit out as he tentatively loosens his hold around the man’s arm, chest still heaving as the man cautiously steps back.
“Sure,” the man answers, “I just. I’ll be careful.” The man says, gaze darting everywhere. Sho nods, notes that his phone is still in his hand, fingers tapping the CALL button repeatedly. He bows his head and is well on his way to wherever he was planning on going previously, but Sho finds that he couldn’t let him leave, not yet, not when Sho knows what he might find Sho lets him.
“Are you, by any chance, looking for the person you come here with?” he asks, already certain that is the case. The man gazes back at him and Sho is strangely drawn to his eyes, to the pretty, pretty mark above his lips.
“Yes, it’s my…it’s my mate,” the man says, “He told me he needs to go to the bathroom but it’s been so long and I’m afraid he got lost on his way back. He’s not…well, it’s a big place and it’s our first time to be invited here, so I’m afraid he’s lost or something,”
Sho’s chest aches for him without knowing why - he shouldn’t care whether this person’s mate is presently screwing someone else, even if that someone else happens to be Sho’s very own brother, but the fact of the matter is that he is - he does.
He won’t know for sure what prompts him to reach over and curl his fingers around the man’s wrist, too, as he mutters, “Well, let me help you find him, then -“ he says, pausing, anticipation lining the side of his mouth as the man bows his head again.
“I go by the name of Ohno - my mate’s - but I was born a Matsumoto. Matsumoto Jun.”
Sho bows back and forces out a smile.
Ohno, huh?
“Matsumoto-san,” he says, choosing to ignore this man’s mated name and using his birth name instead. “I am Sakurai Sho and I am the owner of this estate. Nice to meet you.”
Jun scrambles out of his hold to bow his head, face red in surprise and obvious embarrassment.
“My Lord! I - oh, please do forgive me, I didn’t… I didn’t know it was you.”
“It’s just Sho, Matsumoto-san,” he says, loving the sound of the man’s name as it tumbles out of his lips. “And don’t worry about it. It’s not your fault that you don’t recognize me, none of my cousin’s visitors do, after all,” he follows, then, reaching out to take Matsumoto’s arm in his hand again, he smiles.
“Come, I will ask one of the guards to find your mate for you,” he says, thankful that Matsumoto simply nods his head in submission as Sho throws one last glance on the darkened corner Matsumoto’s mate and Sho’s brother are still in.
