Summary:Ohno Satoshi, the computer illiterate young man who lives in the 22nd century full of androids everywhere?! What will happen when this young man meets one android that was meant to be thrown away?
A/N:The plot will go exactly like the manga, but there will be some changes cause this is my version of the story. I don't plan on making chobits seem weird. Just decided to share because it was my first manga that I came to love.
Fanfic Masterpost Ohno scrutinized the photo on the TV screen in every angle, but no matter what he had no idea what it was. He turned to the note-persocom, hoping that Chinen would be able to find out what it was.
“This is--!” Chinen stood up confident on Ohno’s palm and pointed at the screen. Ohno gulped, preparing for the worst answer possible.
“A file attachment!” Chinen exclaimed, his confidence unwavering.
“I know that!” Ohno wailed hopelessly. He seriously thought that Chinen was just joking around, but he saw that Chinen was very serious about his answer. Ohno cried even more. He just wanted to know what the file was.
“Do easy on him, dude.”
Ohno looked over his shoulder at the sound of the familiar voice and saw Sho taking off his shoes by the doorway. He seriously should lock the door next time, but he was glad that it was Sho who had come in and not a robber. Well, he had hoped that it was Nino, which is why he had left the door unlocked in the first place just in case Nino was able to find a way back home. “Sho!”
“Chinen’s just a notebook. He can't comprehend vague questions like that,” Sho explained as he sat beside his friend and handed him the bag of boxed caked he bought for his friend earlier. “It’s not his fault he can only take things literally.”
“So, what brings you here all of a sudden?” He asked his dear friend as he put Chinen down and let the note-persocom look through the gift bag.
“Well, I told Masaki about what you said, and you know how he is,” Sho grinned wide, especially when he mentioned their teacher’s name. At least, both of them were happy Aiba-sensei won’t cry over spilt milk anymore. “He said, “Satoshi is so sincere, he must be really worried right now. Sometimes it’s better to be worried with someone else.” “
“Aiba-sensei...”
“And, you still haven’t found your persocom, right?”
Ohno nodded and lowered his head in shame.
“And, you’re still worried sick, right?”
He nodded his head and sighed as he recalled the conversation he had earlier with Jun. “If Nino is feeling pain, I know I can erase those memories from him, but I’ll remember. He may not be alive, and his memories may not be “real,” but they’re real to me. As long as I remember, his memories won’t go away. That’s what my old boss told me. So yes-- I really am worried about him. That’s why, I have to find him soon.”
Sho smiled in relief, glad that his friend told him about his true feelings. “All right. I’ll help you.”
Ohno returned the smile. “Thank you.”
“So…” Sho pointed at the image on Ohno’s screen. “Does this have something to do with your persocom… Nino, wasn’t it? With his disappearance?”
“I have no idea what the hell this is,” Ohno mumbled as he looked at the image once again. He hoped that Sho could have some kind of notion what it was, but he sighed in defeat when he saw his friend have an equally confused face as him. However, a second later, Sho gasped and leaned in to get a closer look at the photo.
“This is a map,” Sho said as he traced a the lines of the image in the air.
“What?!” Ohno exclaimed in surprise. If Sho said that it was a map, he would have known, too, but this was one strange looking map.
“It looks like a map that would show up on a GPS readout. You know, that satellite system that tells you where you are.”
“Why would they send me that?!”

Kato stared at the screen before her and sighed in worry. Because she’s the landlady of the apartment complex, she had all access to anything, but she barely used it until now. She had gotten a notification earlier that Ohno had plugged in something into his TV and she couldn’t help it. She had to see what it was, especially if it concerned Nino. On the screen, she displayed the two images that Ohno had gotten from an anonymous, and the latest image beside the other two. She thought that she was going to see a photo concerning her and Nino again, but instead it was a map.
“I wonder who sent it, and the image from before…” She sighed nervous and worried as she took of the helmet and all connections had shut down. Who else could have known about them? After setting the helmet back down the chair, she decided to go back up to her apartment. The lights were off, but thanks to the moonlight shining through the window, she was able to find her way back to her study room. Sighing heavily, she turned on the light and walked to the dresser beside the door she had come from.
“But even if I find out who sent those images, there’s nothing I can do about it. Because…” She picked up the frame faced down on the dresser and stared longingly at the man standing behind her with a huge, proud smile on his face. “...I promised you.”
“That’s why all I can do is write. So that hopefully Nino can find what he lost before he became Nino.” She set the photo frame back down and walked towards her drawing board. On it was the new cover design for the next volume “Please Find Me” of A City With No People. “Perhaps this time, he’ll find “the someone just for him.” “

Ohno scratched his head in confusion as he stared at the map. Both he and Sho were trying to figure out what to do with it exactly, but they had no clue where to begin. “So it’s a map. How the hell are we supposed to tell what it’s a map of?”
“We can look it up through a persocom,” Sho suggested.
“Could Chinen do it?” Ohno asked as he grabbed the note-persocom from the ground.
However, Sho shook his head and frowned in disapproval. “It’s not that he can’t, it’d just take too long. He’s not built for stuff like that. Let’s ask Keito.”
“I see a map. I should have seen it before,” came Okamoto’s voice through Chinen.
“Yeah, but now we need to find out what it’s a map of,” Ohno explained desperately. If this map was going to lead them somewhere, perhaps where Nino was being kept, he wanted Okamoto to figure this out now.
“I’ll look it up. It will only take a moment… Mirei, do as he said. Form a lan with the other persocoms and cross reference this map with global positioning data.”
“Yes, sir,” Mirei nodded and closer her eyes as she lowered her head. Soon, the maids around them all paid attention to her and they zoned out as they connected with Mirei.
“Have you figured out who sent the images?” Ohno asked curiously, figuring that it would take a while for Mirei to do as she was told.
Okamoto shook his head although he knew that Ohno wouldn’t see it. “Not yet, but I think this map has something to do with Nino.”
“Do you think that maybe it shows where Nino is?” Ohno asked, hopeful.
“Yes. Wouldn’t that be convenient.”
Ohno had wanted to cry then for Okamoto had answered his desperate plea. He just wanted to find Nino now, and then everything will be back to the way it was. Except, of course, whoever took Nino was going to get a taste of Ohno’s wrath. He apologized quietly when he realized he had been talking out loud again.
“Okamoto, sir.”
He whipped his head to the side to face Mirei who was still in search mode.
“Search complete. There are 12,568 locations that match the map in the image file.”
Although it was faint, Ohno heard Mirei’s voice clearly. “12,568 locations?!” He screamed into the note-persocom and apologized yet again to Chinen although Chinen was in phone mode.
“It is a pretty vague map,” Sho said from behind him.
“And in this prefecture?” Okamoto asked to slim down their search.
“23 places,” Mirei replied.
“That’s still a lot,” Sho said worried as he glanced at his hopeful friend.
“23 places! We can work with that!”
“Just a minute… Mirei,” he turned towards Mirei who was still in her computer mode. “You still have the access records from the custom persocom site, don’t you?”
“Yes.”
“Find out the access points of all the IP addresses.”
Okamoto waited for a minute before Mirei turned to face him with a resolute face. “Do any of those access points correspond with the 23 map matches.”
Mirei nodded. “There is one.”
“And the username of the person who used the IP address?”
“DRAGONFLY.”
Okamoto and Sho gasped simultaneously as soon as Mirei had said the username.
“Not him…” Sho grumbled, his worry for Ohno’s persocom growing at this very minute.
“Who?” Ohno glanced over his shoulder and saw his friend was biting his lip nervously. “You know this guy?”
“That guy…” Sho trailed off, making Ohno curious.
“Me might do it…” Okamoto trailed off as well, confusing Ohno even more.
“Who are you talking about?!” He asked Sho and Okamoto. “Who’s DRAGONFLY?”
“Satoshi… we may know where Nino is,” was what Okamoto said before Ohno was about to go on a rage from the silent duo.

Yamada watched in amazement as the persocom lifted up into the air as if the persocom was air himself. He’s never seen a persocom do this before, ever, not even when his master had done the same thing to a few persocoms that he “took interest in.”
Meanwhile, Yoshihiko leaned back on a wall, not far from Nino and smirked as he watched the persocom lift himself up in the air and to the middle of the room. He’s definitely going to find out about this persocom and make him his.
Yamada’s eyes widened when he heard it again. The voice. This time, it was louder. When he looked over to Yoshihiko, he saw that his master was just watching the persocom, his mouth shut and unmoving. But when Yamada turned to face the persocom, the voice grew louder in his head.

A/N: So after midnight last night, right after I was done printing my grandma's documents and reading The Game of Thrones, I decided to sleep around 3AM. Around 4:30AM, my second oldest brother came into the room, woke me up and asked me if he could play one game. ONE LOUSY GAME THAT NEEDED THE DAMN INTERNET. That pissed me off because one: I barely got enough sleep (it's less than my nap time which is usually two hours), and two: I can't go back to sleep. WTF. Who the hell does that?! Ugh, so to get my revenge on him (I know I shouldn't, but he took away sleep which is so precious to me), I went on youtube and left a 3 hr medley of classic Christmas songs. There. He didn't play at all, just like how my sleep was taken away from me.
Also, I've fallen in love with Sho. OMG yasss
