Ohno didn’t move, partly because of shock, but mostly because he was so lost and confused. Above him, the man who claimed to be Masaki, was shaking his butt excitedly as if he had an existing tail that no one can see. He took a quick peek towards Nino and Jun who were both staring at the both of them with gaping mouths, and huge eyes; Sho was nowhere to be seen.
“Arf! Arf!” the man above him barked happily the same time he and Ohno came face to face.
“Why the hell is he barking? Is he mad?” He heard Nino ask with obvious annoyance in his voice. Ohno wanted to tell him that this is all a misunderstanding, and that they should know him too well that he wouldn’t be the one to make some kind of mistake like this- even if he’s drunk or not.
When he opened his mouth to speak, the man above him stared at him with huge eyes before opening his mouth and slid his sloppy wet tongue all over his face. Startled, he pushed the man away from him and wiped his face in disgust. The man was now whimpering, his eyes watering, and pouting as if he had hurt his feelings.
He ignored him and stood up instead, in search of his boyfriend that went missing all of a sudden. However, his foot bumped into something on the floor. Looking down, he saw the man that had confessed to him last night, passed out on the floor, his breath coming in short stops every now and then.
“Damn! Sho’s out cold!” Jun pointed out as he rushed besides his friend. “Nino, Satoshi, help me bring him to his room. I’ll--”
“No it’s ok,” Ohno stopped the young man before he had the chance to pick him up. “Keep him here in my bedroom. I’ll take care of him. In the meantime,” He turned around and glared at the man who was still whimpering, “You guys take care of him. Give him some clothes, ask him where he lives, and send him off for me, will you?”
Both men grunted in reply letting him know how uncomfortable they were with taking care of an older man. Without arguing, Ohno watched the two of them slowly pick up the man who in turn tried to protest and barked loudly as if he didn’t want to leave his side. However he was no match for the two of them as he was dragged away into one of the vacant rooms.
“Sho...” He whispered his boyfriend’s name in hopes that he would respond. “Sho...”
The younger man didn’t budge so he thought it would be best to ice his head where the impact had hit. He felt like he was one of the worsts boyfriends in all the histories of boyfriends, letting him see a misunderstanding and causing him to pass out because of his carelessness. If only that man hadn’t shown up, he would have woken up to a nice morning coffee made by his boyfriend and spent the whole day besides him. Ohno grumbled, What if that man really was Masaki?

Masaki whimpered and barked when the human had stared at him with unkind eyes. He liked it when he was nice to him, and smiling instead of pushing him away like his last owner did. The other two, unrecognizable humans, were pulling towards somewhere he wouldn’t like to be without the human he came to adore. He tried his best to kick his legs and barked loud enough for the human to hear him, but he saw him turn his head around. Feeling lost, he turned his head down and was instead dragged away by the two humans with a very harsh force.
When the three of them were finally inside another room, he was forced down on something soft and he didn’t like it at all. The only comfort he found better was the human’s bed he slept on so peacefully last night. Masaki was about to get up when the two of them blocked the door and he heard a sharp click.
“Jun, what do you suppose we do with him?” the human with a very sharp chin asked the other human he understood as ‘Jun’.
“I don’t know. Aren’t we supposed to do what Satoshi will tell us?”
“Yeah... But I think I wanna have fun with him before we send him off.”
“Are you stupid, Nino? Do you want Satoshi to scold us and get mad? Trust me, I wouldn’t want to see him mad.”
“So? I can just tell him that this guy right here tried to attack us and then he’ll get mad at him instead. How about that?”
“Well... If you say so. I guess it wouldn’t hurt...”

Ohno came back from the kitchen with the bag of ice for Sho’s head. He wondered where in the world Masaki had disappeared to last night while he was asleep. Now that the dog was in his thoughts, he remembered being mad at him last night because Masaki was ignoring him. Maybe it was for the best the dog had left him since he had other things in his hands to worry about. Then again, he wanted to keep Masaki as a pet in the first place. If only he could find that dog, he would at least feel better aside from all this worrying and new stress that was given to him.
On his way to his room, he ignored the door Jun and Nino had dragged the crazy man into. He walked past by it, telling himself that it was better to get rid of him rather than handle all this mess because of some mistake he never did. However, he felt something in him that he couldn’t explain. To him, it felt more like guilt than relief since he was rude to someone he never even met. Instead, he turned his heel and knocked on the door.
There was no answer so he figured he was too late already and that they had sent him off already. Just when he was about to turn away, he heard the man’s familiar barking followed by Jun and Nino saying incomprehensible words. They must be scolding him for whatever he did wrong. Ohno wanted to leave as his mind was telling him to. However, he pressed his ear against the door and understood every word the two were saying in there.

“Sit!” Nino yelled at him and he obediently did as he was told. As soon as his bottom landed on the cold hard floor, he whined a little bit at how cold it was and how weird it felt when he landed on it. There was usually something soft whenever he was told to sit. Since he did as he was told, he opened up his mouth in hopes for a treat landing inside. However, there was only none but the air to make his mouth completely dry.
When the humans weren’t looking and were busy talking to each other, Masaki stood up on all fours and dashed inside an open room. He was so sure he found the right place when he dipped his head inside the white bowl, and started lapping his tongue for water.
“Where-- Oh God, he’s in the bathroom drinking the toilet water! Jun, come and help me get him out of there,” the human he recognized as Nino shouted from the other room.
Masaki wasn’t so sure why they were outside doing other stuff when they should be in there with him drinking the refreshing water. By the time he dipped his head in again for the 3rd time, he was forcefully pulled away from his drinking bowl.
“Grr...” Masaki growled at the both of them who didn’t back out despite his warning. When they refused to let him go, he growled even louder and the other two were screaming at him.
“Shut up! You’re not a dog, alright?!”
Immediately, Masaki closed his mouth in response. He stopped resisting against them and slumped his whole body until he fell on his own. Behind him, both of them were snickering and telling him more orders. Despite being such an obedient dog, Masaki didn’t obey them this time and only kept his back facing them. When he heard approaching footsteps behind him, he whimpered and was about to run away again when he heard loud thumping from somewhere in the wall.
Masaki looked up and tried to find out what it was. He wondered if it was a squirrel of a play toy that someone had decided to give him as a present. Instead, he heard the familiar voice shouting from the other side. Sudden excitement came rushing into him and he felt like putting his tail up. However, his behind felt very empty and his tail wasn’t swishing behind him.
“Were you guys being mean to him? Wait, why do I even-- Masaki!”
He looked up from the floor and turned his head around from the mention of his given name. Standing by the door, was the human he came to adore with strange look on his face. By instinct, Masaki stood on four and rushed besides the spiky haired man. He grabbed his legs and sat on his foot. When he looked up, he saw the same look he had when he first met him.

Ohno heard a series of yelling and growling followed by Nino cursing right after. When he heard a loud thud, his fists immediately went to the door. Something definitely wasn’t right.
“Open up!” He yelled as he banged loudly on the door. Since they were the only residents in this whole building, Ohno couldn’t care less if he made a racket early in the morning. When the yelling had stopped and he heard footsteps coming closer, the door finally opened.
There, on the floor sitting like a lost person, was the man that had woken up naked in his bed. He looked around him and saw that nothing was changed so he sighed out of relief. Then he faced both of his close friends and saw the angered look on their faces. This man must have done something to piss off the both of them. Or they were mad at each other... Either way, Ohno didn’t care as he laid his eyes on the man sitting on the floor.
“Were you guys being mean to him? Wait, why do I even--” Ohno paused for a short moment when he saw how familiar this man’s back was. He closed his eyes and saw the image of a dog whose back was also facing him. In this image, they were both doing the same thing, looking down on the floor and doing nothing as if the world had already ended for the both of them. Then it hit him. So this man really wasn’t playing a joke and all of this... all of this was really real. “--Masaki!” He yelled at the top of his lungs.
Though Ohno still doubted himself, asking if he was doing the right thing right here and right now, the man’s head jolted up and his head turned around to face him. An odd, yet wonderful smile played on the man’s lips and soon he found the man on his leg, holding onto him like his dear life. Ohno looked down at the same time the man looked up. When they finally met each others eyes, his own doubts vanished by just a little.
