Why is everbody suddenly going "Friends Only" on me? First Jennie, then Goldie, now you? Gosh, now I'm one of the only ones left brave enough to reveal my soul to everybody and anybody on the internet.
And even though Daniel Radcliffe's hot, he is NOT punk AT ALL
Wow, I was just kidding about everybody going "Friends Only", don't be mad at me! I just though it was very coincidental when 3 people switched around the same time.
Just because you listen to the music doesn't mean you're "Punk". If that was true, you could say that people like Avril Lavigne are as well. It's about your additude and your lifestyle etc. (and in no way do I think I qualify or anything) And aren't you contridicting yourself by saying I shouldn't be judging him if I don't know him personally if you don't either? The door swings both ways. Anyway, starting a fight about the "Punk credibility" of a celebrity who both of us don't even know personally is really supid. Let's concentrate on the fact that we both agree he's really really really really hot.
Yes, I think that part of it is, but not 100% of it. You can listen to punk bands but know nothing or hardly anything about its history or what it stands for, for example. But yes, I feel it's a big part of it, though not all of it. My feelings are the music alone doesn't shape the label nor is listening to it the sole determining factor of if you "Fit it", considering people use "Punk" as somebody's personality, not just their music tastes. Though it's unarguable that music tastes have nothing to do with your personality.
Avril Lavigne, Katy Rose, Ashlee Simpson etc. may play a guitar and write their own music but that doesn't not automatically make them "Punk rock chicks", even though I personally feel that's the message they're conveying. But if you like Avril, that's cool with me.
The Strokes, The Libertines, The Pixies, Sex Pistols, Iggy Pop, The Futureheads, The Thrills, Darkness, Jet, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Killers, The Who, The Distillers, Lou Reed, Audioslave, Nirvana, The Zutons, The Cribs, The Delgados, Stereophonics, British Sea Power, Rolling Stones, Modest Mouse, The Stranglers, The Undertones, David Bowie, ColdPlay, Deftones, Blur, The Music, Muse, Zwan, The Clash, Brendan Benson, The Rapture, and Johnny Cash.
I think he has pretty good taste. It's not really punk. It's more classic rock and modern rock and stuff, but still. I love most of those bands too.

Oh, and Dan Radcliffe is hot. And punk. Have you ever seen the music he listens to?
Besides, you shouldn't be judging him based on the ROLE he plays in a MOVIE, considering you've never MET him before.

Punk IS about the music you listen to. That's the point.
