Well here I am for the long hull. Actually my day so far has been really nice, despite my serious lack of sleep due to friends. A few people have stopped to chat, a roommate brought me tea, and a friend brought me a cup of fruit. Needless to say, I feel pretty taken care of

I am going to start what might be a flurry of debate by saying "shit" is not a swear word. But a bodily function as well as a good word to use at just that right moment, like in your story as well as other times also shit worthy.

I would say there are worse things that could be said.....but I won't say them...as I've been told I'm just not too great of a casual swearer.
