I've been meaning to buy frames for years (I wear contacts) but I haven't found a frame that I like at all! But recently I went to this store called Oliver Peoples and they had some REALLY NICE frames. I think they might have some styles that you're looking for.
These look promising! But I don't know, I'm so skittish about glasses. I've tried on frames that have looked like some of these and I wound up looking like a huge...dork! Not nerdy-cool or anything along those lines, just girl who wears hair scrunchies and reads the babysitter club and wonders when her babyfat will go away and when can she be pretty like her big sister DORKY. Must change attitude.
i wear glasses and i had a pair of olivier peoples for a few years. i liked them quite a lot. the pair i have now are totally cheapo, and i need to replace them. i've been having frame buying anxiety too. i feel like i have a funny shaped face and most glasses look odd on me. i keep thinking of switching to contacts but then i'd have to poke around in my eye every morning. anyways, i always think people are cuter with glasses than without.

yes, i'd have to get used to sticking my finger in my eye each morning, which plenty of people do each day, but then what if i forget to take them out, and become one of those people! too much effort required.

I have been wearing contact lenses since I was a kid! My only real complaint is that I like to lie in bed watching movies/shows at night and it is uncomfortable to lie with your head on its side when you wear glasses, so I keep my contacts in and then I get sleepy and it seems like getting up to take them out is the hugest hardest task in the world. But that's just me being lazy! A good thing about contact lenses is that they do not fog up when it's cold and you go into a building, also, they can't really fall off so you are good for all kinds of action & adventure. They do freak me out a little (what if someone discovers that they are truly 100% bad for your eyes when I am 40?), and I'd like to get new glasses soon (the pair I have are ugly and the prescription is bad) so that I can wear contacts less often.
I work in an opticians! I wish you could come in. I would give you five finger discounts on all the swanky £300+ designer frames and things. (Chanel and Miu Miu ones are the nicest.)
P.S. Please email me your newest address? I would at least like to send you both a Christmas present of sorts, in the hope of eventually redeeming myself.
P.P.S. The Kitten Effect is almost painful, I swear.
P.P.P.S. All the magazines are saying that dahlias are in right now and it makes me wonder how you are.
