What do you think? Is this a more probable reason to be there than weapons of mass destruction?

I am not posting this because I think it's true or false. I am posting this so all can voice they're opinion. I think that this may or may not shine a new light on if we should still be there or not, instead of it being for oil or weapons of mass desruction like I have also heard has been said. According to some soldiers they have no idea what they ( Read more... )

So you do think we should stay? Also do you think it would be a good idea to join the military at such an ucertain time? Because I have always wanted to join the service while I am in college or before I go. I have thought about the Marine Corps Reserve. Thanks for your input. I look forward to more. Take care MIke.

In my opinion, to just up and leave Iraq now would be to invite another dictator to take over. As for joining the military, it depends. Because the 82nd Brigade (the unit the Washington Natl. Guard is part of) was already called up, it's basically gauranteed a person won't be called up if they are placed in the 82nd until the 82nd itself is called up again (whenever that may be, whether it's in Iraq or not). As for the Marines, well... if you're a Marine, be prepared to get into some shit. I can't think of a time when they're NOT doing something (not sure how the Corps Reserve works, so I don't know how often they're called up, but I would assume just as often--if not moreso--than the Army Reserve/Natl. Guard).

Yea, that just might happen. So I guess for the mean time we should stay there until we get done what we need to get done. I just hope it happens soon. I hate hearing about our men and women in uniform dying and being wounded. I am going to have a talk with a recruiter about the reserves and see what that is all about.

The thing about the Marine Corps is that I think that they are usually the first ones in. I guess that's why they have divisions like the Walking Dead. But I'll just have to see for myself. But in the mean time take care. I'm glad we are having a good conversation without fighting or anything.

God Bless Everyone,
