So there it is! XD my first icon-tutorial XD
I made a tut of it, because it was requested

Program: Adobe Photoshop CS2
Level: easy...i'd say o-o for beginners? XD

go from
to

Well, english isn't my native language so i'm sorry if i explained something poorly xD

First of all open the base! XD

1.

Take this lighttexture
(by silverqe ) above the base, set it to "Screen" and increase its opacity a bit. I set the opacity to "90%"
Now it looks like this:

2.

Now create a Layer below the lightexture and select the Type tool with the fellow settings:
-Font: "Caligula Dodgy" (if you don't have that fond, get it from here click here xD
-Font size: 8
-Font colour: black
(that all sounded so ...serious! XD)
and type whatever you want to write! XD i typed "w i s h i n g" (with the spaces)
Type whatever you want, but the colour should be black, if you want the same effect as in my icon XD

3.

Create a new layer (doesn't matter whether it's above or below the font-layer... or however you call it..) and add some tiny text to it. It should be also black and under the typing. (the tiny text i used is by Sanami276)
Now it looks like this:

4.

Create a new layer below the tinytext/typing-layer and add a textbox brush. The colour should be white. (I used the textbox by Sanami276. If you want to use the same textbox as me download it here click xD" and use the next to last brush)
It looks like this now:
(you can read the typing better! XD)

5.

And again, create a new layer below all the typing/font layers and add some tiny text (colour white). (the tiny text i used is by The Magic Box)

6.
Add the border and whatever you want and voila you're finished! XD

i hope i explained everything well *has headache now* @_@ i know it's very easy but yeah XD i think it helps some ppl

Lightextures with pinkish colours go well with images with chilly or greyish colours :3
