Summary: Donghae is the son of a powerful emperor, and his life is in danger as he received a death threat. He is obliged to move out of his palace and enter the world of peasants just to be kept in a low profile. During his stay in a poor village, he meets Eunhyuk and learns many things he didn’t know, and one of those things was love.
A/N: Finally chapter 5 :D let’s see how many people will be shocked >.>
“So Donghae… what have you been up to? Having fun being the son of the soon-to-be-dead emperor?” asked the man with a grin on his face.
“How dare you… he’s your uncle!” screamed Donghae. He wanted to punch the man who was in front of him, but the ninja behind him grabbed his hands tightly.
“For your information, I don’t care. Even if we are a huge family, your father wouldn’t help my parents.”
“Tell me what you want, and I’ll get it for you.”
“I will soon get what I want, the only thing that is in my way is you, Lee Donghae.”
One of so many ninjas appeared from a huge tree and took out his sword, then pointed it to Donghae’s heart. At this point, Donghae started to tremble, but he had to be strong for his family’s sake.
“Please, don’t kill me. If you want, I will walk away from this land and break all the connections I have just so all the people think I’m dead,” said Donghae, backing slowly.
“I don’t think you will keep that promise. You have this reputation of being a liar,” said the man, looking straight to Donghae.
It was true; Donghae had a reputation of being a liar. He had lied so many times to his parents just to get away from the palace, but he was just barely 5 years old. Also, he lied to his friends saying that he had all the things he wanted, but in reality, he didn’t have all he wanted. When his friends discovered that Donghae didn’t have the things he used to say, they just gave their backs to Donghae and never talked to him anymore. Of course, only Siwon stayed as his friends because Siwon knew everything about Donghae by heart. Not to mention that Siwon is the general’s son, he practically lived with Donghae. Now, Donghae lied to Eunhyuk despite the other saying that he disliked dishonest people. But then, Donghae thought that he had to lie just to protect himself.
“Few words to say before you die, Donghae?”
“I want to see Eunhyuk before I die,” said Donghae, looking down.
“I’m sorry that Eunhyuk is not here. Kill -“
“DONGHAE! WHERE ARE YOU?!” Eunhyuk screamed in the woods.
“EUNHYUK!” Donghae screamed back.
All the alarmed ninjas, including the one who was behind Donghae, ran and hid behind huge trees. The man also ran and hid with the ninjas. As soon as the man hid, Eunhyuk found Donghae and ran towards him. Without thinking, Eunhyuk hugged Donghae tightly.
“I told you to stay in the house!” Eunhyuk screamed after he pulled back and looked at Donghae with worried eyes. “Why did you leave?”
Just looking at Eunhyuk, Donghae hugged Eunhyuk by the waist, and started to cry hard. Eunhyuk, feeling guilty, started to rub Donghae’s back with his right hand, and the other hand patted Donghae’s hair.
“I’m sorry for screaming at you,” said Eunhyuk, “You have no idea how worried I was when I found you were not in the house.”
“I-I- I’m s-sorry,” Donghae said between sobs.
“It’s okay, now shhhhh,” Eunhyuk tried to calm Donghae. “Let’s go back home.”
Donghae pulled away from the hug and nodded. Eunhyuk wiped Donghae’s tears with his thumb and gave his gummy smile to him. They walked back home together, holding hands all the way.
“Donghae, you still didn’t answer my question,” said Eunhyuk when they went inside the house.
“Uh… well… since you never came back, I felt bored and left home just for a walk. Then I saw something weird in the woods, so I went to see what it was, but there was nothing. I turned around and started to walk back, but I guess I lost my way,” replied Donghae with an apologetic look.
“Next time, when you feel bored, don’t leave the house and wait for me,” said Eunhyuk, looking at Donghae seriously. “That way, maybe you won’t get lost.”
“Hey! Today is the fourth day I stay in this town, so it’s acceptable that I don’t know how to get back home,” Donghae said, embarrassed, “especially in the woods.”
Eunhyuk just laughed at how Donghae became embarrassed all of a sudden, and then ruffled Donghae’s hair.

“You… stupid ninja,” said the man, “Why didn’t you kill Donghae!?”
“Sir, you didn’t give me the command to kill him,” said the ninja, terrified.
“I said ‘kill,’ what part of kill you don’t understand?!”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t hear your command,” said the ninja, kneeling in front of the man and looking down.
“You… don’t tell me you will feel guilty for killing him! Just because you took him to where he is right now doesn’t mean he’s your friend!” the man screamed and all the ninjas turned to look at the poor ninja on the floor.
The man, frustrated, dismissed the ninja and sat on a chair.
I swear I’ll get you, Lee Donghae.

After Eunhyuk and Donghae finished eating, Eunhyuk took Donghae’s dishes and washed them. Meanwhile, Donghae complained to Eunhyuk about the dishes.
“Why did you take my dishes?” asked Donghae.
“Because the last time, you washed all the dishes, including mine,” replied Eunhyuk.
“Oh…”
“Yes, oh….”
“Are you making fun of me?” asked Donghae, frowning at Eunhyuk.
“No… am I?” joked Eunhyuk.
“I think you are,” said Donghae, standing behind Eunhyuk and poking his back.
“Yah! Don’t poke me!” Eunhyuk shouted. “Or I’ll throw you all the soap!”
Donghae grabbed the soap bottle and kept poking Eunhyuk. “Now how are you going to throw all the soap to me?”
“Then I’ll tickle you!” said Eunhyuk before attacking Donghae by tickling him.
Eunhyuk grabbed the soap bottle from Donghae’s hand and squeezed it. Fast in reflex, Donghae dodged the soap that came out of the bottle and ran. Eunhyuk chased Donghae until he saw that Donghae slipped and fell on the floor. Preoccupied, he gave a hand to Donghae to help him get up. Donghae grabbed Eunhyuk’s hand, but slipped again, taking Eunhyuk with him on the floor. Eunhyuk ended on top of Donghae, his lips on Donghae’s. They took like 2 minutes to realize what happened and Eunhyuk got off of Donghae.
“Eh… what happened?” asked Eunhyuk, blushing.
“I… I don’t know,” said Donghae, blushing also.
Then, Eunhyuk felt something wet, and turned to look at the floor. The sink was full of water that the water flowed out of the sink and started to spread through the entire kitchen.
“Eunhyuk, run!” shouted Donghae.
Eunhyuk ran to the sink, closed the water, and started to clean the mess with a towel.
“Eunhyuk, I’ll do it for you since it’s my fault, you go change clothes better,” said Donghae, taking the towel from eunhyuk’s hand and cleaning the mess.
Eunhyuk went to his room, changed into other clothes, took the dirty, wet clothes, and put them in the basket that was in the bathroom. Before he went back to the kitchen, he saw a letter that was by the sink. On the letter, he read that it was for Donghae, so he took the letter to Donghae.
“Donghae, I saw this letter in the bathroom,” said Eunhyuk, showing the letter to Donghae.
Donghae widened his eyes and immediately, snatched the letter from Eunhyuk’s hands.
“Why are you acting weird all of a sudden?” asked Eunhyuk, frowning.
“Me? I’m not acting weird,” said Donghae, shoving the letter to his pocket.
“Um… okay, whatever you say.”
Eunhyuk took the towel and started to clean where Donghae left. While Donghae went outside and burned the letter with a match that he found in the house.
“No wonder I smelled something burning,” said Eunhyuk, standing beside Donghae and watching the letter burn on the dirty road.
There was a large, deadly silence between them until Donghae broke it by telling Eunhyuk that it was already late. They went back in, watched T.V, and eventually, both of them fell asleep, Eunhyuk’s head on a pillow, while Donghae’s head on Eunhyuk’s stomach. When Won Bin went back home, he found both boys in his room.
“Eunhyuk, Donghae, wake up,” said Won Bin, shaking them.
Both of them woke up and smiled at Won Bin.
“Hi dad,” said Eunhyuk, rubbing his eyes.
“Hi son, had fun today?” asked Won Bin.
“Yeah, we did have fun,” said Eunhyuk.
Donghae stood up, stretched himself, and went straight to Eunhyuk’s room. Eunhyuk was about to go to his room, but stopped on his track.
“Dad…” Eunhyuk called.
“What is it, son?”
“Dad... what would you tell me if…”
“If what?”
“Uh… nothing, forget it.”
“Ummm, okay.”
Eunhyuk was about to get inside his room, but stopped right in front of the door. Do I like him? He asked himself again, and blushed madly just by thinking about the incident.

Dear Journal
Today… I almost die… but thanks to Eunhyuk, I’m still alive. I owe him a lot for saving me from death. Now that I start to think, I was too stupid to think that they would let me be alive. STUPID STUPID STUPID ME. I’m doomed, because they will try to get me and kill me… THAT COUSIN of mine… I won’t even consider him part of my family. I almost forgot, I don’t know how it happened, but I think Eunhyuk kissed me… or did I? I think HE did. AND THEN I BLUSHED, does that mean I liked it? Oh forget it… I like him… OH! I need to call the general… bye.

Donghae closed his journal and put it below his pillow. Then he opened the door just to see Eunhyuk blushing.
“Eunhyuk, you’re blushing,” said Donghae.
“Oh yeah? Oh… well.”
“Well, I need to call my dad, so… excuse me.”
Eunhyuk moved aside and let Donghae pass, he blushed harder this time.

“Won Bin, can I use the phone to call the general?” asked Donghae
“Yeah sure,” said Won Bin, before letting him use the phone. “I’ll be in the living room so you can talk freely to him.”
Donghae nodded and started to dial the general’s phone number.
“hello?” asked the other line.
“Hello? General Choi? It’s me, Donghae.”
“Oh Donghae! How are you? Is everything fine?”
“Actually… no.”
“What is it? Did something happen to Won Bin and Eunhyuk? You?”
“I found out who wants me dead… he didn’t tell me what he wanted, but he told me that I was on his way from getting what he wanted.”
“Who is he?”
“Lee Sungmin.”
