Summary: Sungmin tries to make Kyuhyun open his eyes and finally notice him.
A/N: Sungmin’s POV. This is my update for the whole week since I'm in trimestral exams :(
“What’s wrong, Sungmin?” Siwon asked worried. “Is it about Kyuhyun?”
I didn’t respond his question; I just leaned my head on his chest and cried. Siwon hugged me while patting my back. I couldn’t believe that I fell on his trap; everything felt good when he told me about his feelings, about what he felt for me. Now, I feel like a fool.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” someone shouted at the end of the hallway. “ARE YOU CRAZY OR SOMETHING?!”
Siwon nudged me. “Something’s going on there.”
I wiped my tears and turned around just to see Kyuhyun walking towards us. Because of what happened, I turned to Siwon and hugged him tightly, avoiding Kyuhyun’s stare.
“Min, look at me,” Kyuhyun said, tapping on my back. “I swear if you don’t look at me, I’ll kill myself.”
Just because I didn’t want anyone dying for me, I turned to look at him. Kyuhyun had a sad face that I have never seen from him. He cupped my cheeks and wiped the rest of the tears that fell out of my eyes.
“Come with me,” he said, taking my hand and pulling me away from Siwon. But Siwon didn’t let me go.
“Let go of him,” Kyuhyun said, giving death glares to Siwon.
“I won’t,” Siwon said with a serious tone, “after what you did.”
“This has nothing to do with you, so let go of him.”
“Fine, but if you make him cry again, I will kick your ass,” Siwon said, letting me go.
Kyuhyun took me straight to the rooftop without looking at me not even once. The moment he stopped walking, I released myself from his grasp and turned to walk away. He hugged me from behind and started to cry. Why would he cry when he received a kiss from Ryeowook? Didn’t he want that?
“I’m sorry for what you saw there,” Kyuhyun said between sobs, “I shouldn’t have helped him.”
“What do you mean?” I asked, looking at him seriously. I wanted to hug him right there because he looked so pathetic. I didn’t hug him at all.
“He asked me if I could help him get his boyfriend Yesung back just by hugging, but he kissed me,” he said, begging forgiveness with his eyes.
“But I saw you responding to the kiss, so don’t lie to me…”
With that, I left the rooftop and went directly to classroom. Everyone looked at me expecting something new to talk about. Donghae came out of nowhere and took me to my desk.
“Stop staring!” Donghae shouted to the class. Immediately, they all turned to look somewhere else. I thanked Donghae silently.
Later on, Kyuhyun entered the classroom silently with puffy eyes. Donghae immediately sat next to me when he noticed that Kyuhyun was going to sit next to me. Kyuhyun looked at Donghae with a frown.
“That’s my seat,” Kyuhyun said, pushing Donghae off the chair.
Donghae resisted and hit Kyuhyun’s arm. “Let me sit here today, at least.”
Defeated, Kyuhyun took his bag and sat next to Eunhyuk. Eunhyuk looked at him weirdly and moved his head disapprovingly.
“Dude, you have to stop breaking his heart,” Eunhyuk said to Kyuhyun.
Kyuhyun, obviously, didn’t say anything and stayed quiet for the rest of the day. It was like if he was dead, he wouldn’t even look at me whenever I looked at him with the corner of my eye.
At the end of the day, I ran back home. I locked myself in my room and laid on my bed. Then my cell phone began to ring. It was Kyuhyun calling so I ignored his call. Soon he called again, and I kept ignoring his calls. After he stopped calling, I saw that I had 15 missed calls. I felt so lazy to do my homeworks, so I decided to sleep. But my ringtone woke me up. Without looking, I answered.
“Sungmin, where are you?” Donghae asked.
“my home,” I replied, “Why?”
“Kyuhyun doesn’t stop asking me where you are.”
“Oh yeah, he called like 15 times. I ignored them all.”
“Sungmin… Kyuhyun says he regrets what he did today.”
“Donghae, you should have seen how he responded to the kiss!” I erupted. “If he cared about my feelings, he wouldn’t return the kiss. Instead, he would have reacted differently and probably he wouldn’t even accept helping him. Don’t you think?”
“You already know that he likes to help other, but yes, he’s stupid.”
Suddenly someone screamed,“hey!” It was more than obvious that it was Kyuhyun’s voice.
“Donghae, I will call you later.”
“Okay,” Donghae hung up.
After the call, I tried to sleep, but the rain didn’t let me. It rained so hard that even lightning started to roar. I hid myself under the covers, trembling because of fear. If only Kyuhyun could appear magically…
A few minutes after, I heard a noise coming outside my window. I went to see my windows and noticed a person standing below. It was too dark to see clearly the person below, so I decided to go downstairs and turn the lights from the outside on. Even though I shouldn’t open the door to strangers, I felt it was safe to ask that person what he or she was doing at this time. So I open the door just to see that the person was Kyuhyun. He was soaked from head to toe. Believe me or not, he looked hot, even thought he was all wet. I take an umbrella with me to cover Kyuhyun from the rain.
“Minnie,” Kyuhyun said, showing hesitation whether to hug me or not. Instead, I hug him and let the umbrella fall.
“You’re going to be all wet.” Kyuhyun whispered.
“Kyu, you know I like you, right?” I asked, looking at him.
“You’re wrong, you love me,” Kyuhyun said, staring me with lovely eyes. “And I love you.”
“So what about the kiss?”
“I’m going to be honest with you. Yes, he kissed me and I kissed him back, but I didn’t feel anything for him. I swear to God I didn’t feel anything for him.”
“I really don’t know if I should believe you or not.”
“I don’t blame you, in fact, you can hit me, bite me, throw me to the sharks, but always have this in mind, I love you.”
