 Kansai Johnny's Junior
The Pimp Post
Part 3
DISCLAIMER: Same as the last two posts: If its yours and you have a no reposting rule, just tell me and I'll take it down. Specifically directed at the weibo users because I don't know Chinese. All pics in this post's pic/gif spam are entirely unedited from how I got them - This means I am aware one of the pics had its credit cut off. If anyone has the pic with credit, I would love it.

Part 1
Part 2

Info credit on Satake goes out to kendoyuki  and nudrive ~

Right now, since this is going to be a much heavier link post, I suggest going and joining kansai_juniors , kansaichibiko and o_e_subs ! Some of the best sources out there in the English fandom for video and just general information! The formatting for part three is just different from parts 1 and 2 not due to lack of knowledge, but due to lack of ANYTHING. These are the units that get less promotion. It's really sad, because they're all a lot of fun. D:

GANG STAR
In a way, one could call Gang Star Kusumoto's group, on concept that he is easily the most recognizable member, and in that most people know him. As of the moment, half this group isn't really all that legal... GUILT TRIP IN 3... 2...

Little Gangs

Is the group that somehow managed to break off from GANG STAR a little while ago! Clocking in a five members, they are all really, really squishy, still look tiny and no older than 16! At least they're not really sexy yet, so you don't have to feel guilty about liking them! :D

Apparently, at one point in time, Jouchirou was given eggplants to give Yoko by his mom from their garden at home. What. xD

(no image, as they DON'T EXIST)
Jr.Boys Kansai
Okay, here's the problem with Jr. Boys: We both have a lot of information for members like Hayashi Matori, Ota Hiroaki, and Mukai Tatsuro due to them formerly having been in other groups (Kansai BOYS, OSSaN,  and Muey Thai Mukai Brothers respectively), but most everyone else? Nothing. They're like the back dancers to the back dancers. :|

FORMER JUNIORS YOU SHOULD KNOW (Apparently)

 Satake Koki10.04.90O
Satake! The Sa of OSSan, which was then changed to OSSAN which made him the second S but that's not the point. When OSSaN started playing instruments in 07 he was actually the only one who had experience with playing the guitar. Out of everyone he was closest to Senzaki since they grew up together after becoming friends at kindergarden. Apparently they did weird things like put water balloons in his bath tub and bathe with Senzaki's older bro and Satake's younger bro. He really admired K8 [since they're amazing and Yoko did choose the members] and would often not shut up about how amazing they are. In terms of personality Satake was a really nice guy; according to Hamada he was macho and had good manners, but could be just as loud and funny as the next guy. I always found him to be quite quiet. And it goes without saying but his smile was really something. AND HIS LAUGH WAS THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD! As well as his Hyogo accent! He was also the first to point out the fact that Senzaki looks like a gorilla. In December 2008, however, he left Johnny's which caused the break up of OSSAN, and of course we never found out why.

THIS IS A CROSS GROUP PICSPAM. Meaning sometimes, you get Tokyo Juniors and debuted groups. :Dd

TUMBLR LINKS TIME.

TatsuTree(PIMPS SELF OUT) and FuckYeahJRBoys have a nice collection of images available otherwise. Heavy BBV bias, though.

THIS SHIT YOU SHOULD WATCH.

Shounentachi!

Ever since 2007 when KanJani8 handed the ropes off to their juniors, they've been doing summer stage plats in Shochikuza. In 2010, they got their hands on an older stageplay - that is. Shounentachi. Compared to their Tokyo counterparts, they took the plot and ran with it. It's nothing short of insane, cute, dorky, and just oozes pure Kansai out its every pore until you can't touch it without coming away with a little bit of it.

Now imagine how that would be: Kansai juniors are in prison for an number of numerous reasons. And their guards are Veteran. You now have a vague idea of the insanity.

Did well enough for the Kansai Juniors to be slotted to do it again in 2011!

You can find the main stage here and the showtime here.

Alright, I've been asked this question. Is Shounentachi TOUGH WEEDS renamed. Sadly, no. It is not. TOUGH WEEDS was a stage play the Kanju did in 2009 - it was their summer play. Conceptionalized and partially written by KanJani8's Yokoyama Yu, it played to each individual members strength.

Shounentachi, on the other hand, has a rather long history in Johnnys. Started in 1969, it was a Four Leaves play. It ran for a few years before stopping and since has been picked up at random for other groups. There is one constant between versions, as far as I have seen. Kimi ni Kono Uta wo(The dramatic everyone sings ending song), which actually is on the Four Leaves best of album.

The Dramas (No Matter How Stupid)!

When I say dramas, I don't mean things like Gokusen 3 and Nagareboshi - which I still recommend watching as is - I mean the Johnnys Dramas that aired across 2008-2010. Dramatic-J, DRAMADA-J, and Daremo Shiranai J Gakuen.

They're not always the most intelligent of dramas you'll ever watch (Veteran falling into holes, 7WEST stealing watermelons, the camera that sends B.A.D. back in time,  Senzaki and his magical knife of happiness..), but fuck are they fun as hell (...7WEST hitting each other with chairs, Akito giving Junta people tissues at the urinal, VETERAN AS TIMESLIPPING NINJA)

The first set, from 2008, is Dramatic-J. I'm working on getting all of it up for easy fandom access because fuck if most of it's been posted to coms, but! For now I can direct you towards Birthday, Chounouryoku Six, and Vacation!

Chounouryoku Six: In which five guys(BOYS and OSSaN) with generally sucky and/or all around useless powers, get themselves a leader(Daichi) and together THEY FIGHT CRIME. Love games, yankees, yakuza, and takoyaki abound! Enjoy~

Vacation: After a series of lucky events, a chain of unlucky events lands Itou in a town with a warning: All Itou's will die. Can he get out of the mess and find his car in four days with the help of three young locals(Hamanaka, Muro, and Kikuoka)? And what's the secret of the warning? Part 1~!

Birthday: ...In which four guys sit around and reflect on their sucky lives. Featuring Ota, Satake, Hamada, and Kunta. Seriously. That's really all this thing is.

DRAMADA-J, on the other hand, has all of its episodes up for download. Downside - Large chunks of the Making Ofs are missing, having been DVD exclusives. Dramas are still awesome, though!

You have...!

Mirai wa Bokura no Te no Naka ni: In which Akito is your everyday mechanic and runs into Junta the wota. Together, they time travel with a camera to save the life of Junta's idol! Crossdressing is unavoidable; running is a must!

Soko ni Iru Bogey: Daichi's just minding his own business, writing a book and going to school when BAM, suddenly the main character from his novel(Hamada) comes to haunt him! Together, they try to help people out with their troubles!

VOGETSU: The year: 1586. The place: Osaka. The culprits: Five ninja. The goal: protect the princess. The problem: The well just dumped them in 2009. The solution: GO AROUND DESTROYING THINGS. And finding the princess.

Itsuka no Yujoubu, Natsu: Having been kicked out of normal practices, Kami-chan the angry soccer player ends out crashing a drama club and getting dragged along in their insanity! Watermelons and helping people out, oh my!

And then you have Daremo Shiranai J Gakuen, the series that ran though 2010. Interesting in the fact that they pretty unashamedly casted 25 y/o's... aaaas middle/highschool students. And 20 y/o's as teachers. Never let it be said Johnnys have a sense of age.

It's a series of ten 30 minute episodes detailing the events that happen in a rather odd school. Magic knives, ghosts, time travel, alternate universes, lockers that eat people, and male cheerleaders. Oh, and a future predicting film room. Can't forget that, now can we!

All of the making ofs can actually be found right here! And starting with episode 1, you can find the rest of the episodes on the comm.

nudrive  IS AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PERSON. And now we have a collection of Shounen Club downloads for your pleasure here! I can't recommend perfs like BIG GAME enough, really. Or UME from 09 or Blow Out. V.I.P. is SO DIRTY ahahhaha, oh god B.A.D., you know Akito fucks with the lyrics backstage.

Now I know the juniors aren't everyone's cup of tea, let alone lemonade and graham crackers* like the Kanju are. But just like lemonade and graham crackers, they are entirely tasty to those who do. I hope you found this post worth your time, and have come to see just a bit more why those kids from Osaka (And Hyogo. And Kyoto. And..) are absolutely amazing.

Matta raishuu~!

*Shut up, it's better than milk.

I just want to, again, thank everyone who has helped me with this post (and put up with me whining). Let us all give a big round of applause to nudriveringopuriin, and ceeri!
