Dolce and Gabbana's midlife crisis

Jan 28, 2007 16:37

I'm apologize in advance for this, but there is no way I am suffering alone.

You may remember that a while ago designer Tom Ford did a photo shoot with Steven Klein for W about him being some secretive image maker with plastic models in which he posed for one revealing shot. Well now the former couple behind Dolce & Gabbana, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, are out to prove once again that they're the most tasteless, tackiest designer in high fashion by doing a photo shoot with the same magazine and the same photographer but with half the concept and about ten times the creepy nudity.

These aren't advertisments, it's an editorial.

Divine decadence-Italian style-is something Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have preached their entire careers. So what better way to celebrate the land of Fellini and Visconti than with a series of sexy tableaux starring the wild boys of Milanese fashion themselves on their peninsula in Portofino?

"Stefano+Domenico's Dolce Vita," photographed by Steven Klein, has been edited for Style.com; the complete story appears in the February 2007 issue of W.

Let's hope this trend continues, I can't wait for Karl's full frontal.
