“Scream 5” is officially in early development at Spyglass, who aquired the rights as well as the entire Dimension library after merging with Lantern Entertainment in March.

It’s unclear if this is a direct sequel, reboot or prequel. No word yet if Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, or Hayden Panettiere will return. No director or writers are officially attached to the project.

This would be the first film not directed by Wes Craven since his passing.
