Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not join Queen Elizabeth for Christmas.
The couple are set to embark on a six-week break from royal duties next week for the Thanksgiving holiday
Now, it's revealed that the couple will extend their trip and stay through the Christmas holiday as well.
A source said that the couple “needed to recharge their batteries.”
This would indeed be a major break from tradition for Harry
Meghan and Harry also skipped the royals’ annual holiday in Balmoral this year.
According to royal biographer Ingrid Seward, “I think it’s sad they don’t want to be part of the family gathering, particularly now that the queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are in their dotage. The queen might be a little hurt but she’s far too gracious to ever let it show or be known.”
