• Cynthia Erivo nailed her response to Dax Shepard’s inappropriate question about how she maintains proper hygiene with extra-long nails.
• Shepard asked during an episode of his 'Armchair Expert' podcast.
“Can I ask you a really crazy question that’s inappropriate? When you’re wiping your butt…,”
Erivo interjected, “I knew you would ask that question. My answer is that nobody uses just their fingers to wipe their backside. You use tissue, correct? And you wipe!”
• Shepard continued to press Erivo on the placement of the toilet paper in her hand, asking whether she uses the tips of the fingernails. In response, Erivo clarified that she uses the pads of the fingers.
• Shepard went on to ask Erivo if she sometimes feels a little tickle of the nails on the crack of her butt.
Erivo clapped back, “No, because the tissue is there!”
• When Shepard asked if she was offended by the question, she admitted she was more annoyed because she is a functioning adult and has never walked around smelling…
• Erivo further defended herself from others who have also wondered how she gets anything done with her long nails. “I’m like, I mean, I’m here! I’m dressed.”
