Been with family all week, so we didn’t go to the movies.

We did watch The Night Before on Christmas night thanks to my SIL’s pet sitter renting it on their Amazon account and us all being curious about it. It’s a Seth Rogen/JGL/Anthony Mackie Christmas comedy from 2015, and I thought it was pretty funny, if a bit awkward to watch with my in-laws. There are also a million people in it, which was fun - Nathan Fielder, Jillian Bell, Jason Mantzoukas, Mindy Kaling, Lizzie Caplan, etc.

We also did our annual Muppet Christmas Carol watch on Christmas Eve - fantastic as usual.

Got a lot to watch when we get home - Nosferatu, Babygirl, The Fire Inside, etc.

Nosferatu was good. Although I can see why some wouldn’t enjoy it or even call it boring. Funny enough I watched the original earlier in the week and I feel the horror aspect was done better there than in this newer version. But I feel like the movie deserves a 2nd watch cause I always hype up Robert’s films before I watch them ( ... )

what was the reason for Anna Taylor-Joy to drop out? it would have been funny to have two ATJs in this movie. I liked it. it did not drag for me. I saw it in IMAX and the visuals were stunning and I appreciated how in certain scenes there wasn't much dialog, it allowed you to be immersed in the visuals.

Saw Nosferatu last night and it exceeded my (already high) expectations. I could see it even maybe being my favourite Eggers.

The light house was my only Eggers film but after NOSFERATU it makes me want to check out his other work

I saw Nosferatu on Christmas Day. My theater was packed. I enjoyed the movie but I feel like it was a lot of people went to see it as a family movie and was expecting something else. The vibe after the movie was over was hilarious 😆 especially seeing the older people disgusted.

I watched Babygirl this morning. I went solo and there was one other person in the theater with me. I’m not sure how feel about the film. I think I was expecting MORE [Spoiler (click to open)] I completely didn’t see the twist coming at the end
