ps the pictures are lovely, and i agree with you about zoos - i love visiting them but at the same time it always makes me sort of sad to see the animals like that, all trapped.

the beijing zoo is probably the most depressing place i have ever been. visiting the large cats "enclosure" was so heartbreaking i had to leave after only a couple minutes. thankfully all the zoos i've been to in australia have left me much more happier.

I know :( I felt awful when I was there and at some point it was around, like, -14C and they still had animals out without any place they could huddle for warmth behind.
