Man, I love this one too, so good you are at conjuring up a mood, a tension, a threat (or multiple perils seen and unseen), right quick. Just the right amount of visible and invisible, real-ish and unreal-ish. That splash of gold paint, the dead girl they'd promised to bury: that got me right between the eyes. And John with the shovel, and the trees receding at dawn while Sam de-nightmares.

P.S. The .gifs! Heh.

Thanks, glad you liked it! :-D Yeah I wanted to play with the idea of the haunted forest from fairy tales, only this one is really hungry and turns aggro :-D

Thanks glad you liked it! :-D Yeah I was playing with idea of an updated haunted forest, like what if it was really hungry and didn't have much patience for luring in children?
