The comm hosted this little event a couple of years ago, and as November 2 is an auspicious day for our darling Sam, today would be the perfect time to revisit this challenge. Welcome to the Triple Play 2015!

Oh, God…Sam stumbles out of the bedroom, stomach churning, and doesn’t know where he is. It’s still not familiar, this place. It’s still too new. He falls to the floor, landing on his knees and elbows, and retches. Dinner makes its reappearance on the cold tile floor, and he groans as the spasms rip through his body

They make it just in time. Sam pushes away from Dean and rushes into one of the bathroom stalls, crashing to his knees in front of the toilet. He gags, bringing up a rush of liquid and bile, and he wishes he was deaf so he didn’t have to hear it. There are tears in his eyes, and he can barely catch his breath between his stomach’s desperate attempt to rid itself of its contents. But there are Dean’s hands again, pushing his hair away and rubbing soothing circles on his back

That last line: KILL ME NOW. And it's also my head canon (and pretty much canon) that Sam, more so than Dean, has a difficult time feeling settled, and nesting. Well played!

This is so wonderful. Sam needs hugs (but when is this not true?), and the caring!Dean just about did me in. The last line packed quite a punch, too; I love that we get some insight into Sam's mind here. Unlike Dean, he doesn't even have fleeting childhood memories of any sort of home, and his brief glimpses into what a "home" might be like with other people have all been brutally torn away in one way or another, so his difficulty adjusting to the bunker makes a lot of sense to me.
