Pickup trucks in ploughrows. Banjo, bass and steel guitar.

REVIVAL

Men wearing pressed pants with workboots pull back tent flaps. Rows of old-style folding steel hold generations: Moms fuss, kids fidget and grandmas fan-praying hands, printed die-cut cardstock stapled to sticks.

… power, wonderworking power…Sam stumbles, shuffles aside and a woman stands

Pinch, at the back of Sam’s neck.

And it's hilarious that we've done this before. It's like we've discovered the steps to one of Rowena's spells. crowroad3 makes a prompt, I request that she fill it herself, and that summons you and then something magical happens.

I just really like how intimately Sam-POV this is. It's like being in his head, as it happens, watching what he sees, what he feels. The chorus of voices, the Amens, and the way the dread creeps up on you and takes Sam down, and then Dean's presence like a respite : this is very cool.
