You're absolutely right about missing your generation. But the clothes are so much better than the money-grubbing attitudes, so maybe you're right where you ought to be.

I 'm so happy for you and Jonathan! John Hughes should make a movie about the two of you starring Molly Ringwald and Anthony Michael Hall.

I think I am right where I need to be too, but one can only imagine :) And about that movie, I think I am more of an Ally Sheedy kinda gal and Jonathan would have to be played by, if at all possible, mixing Andrew McCarthy and John Cusak into one person! Though John isn't a Brat Packer, he is close enough. Time to study some political science, I say that as I know that I am not going to crack my book open, Toodles!!!
