I misplaced the paper RIGHT after I scanned it, I am afraid it made its way to the trashcan somewhere in this room, I hope not. Glad you two enjoyed it, I wonder what Meades would think?!
meads would tell you that you're lines weren't dark enough and you didn't put much thought into value and the overall composition is weak. and then he would walk around the circle and when he got back to you, he would praise you for your effort.
How many of us think he really even knows what that means?
"MORE CROSSHATCHING, MORE SHADING, STOP YOUR WHINING,GET STARTED..GET SOME PAPER, MORE STIPPLING, MORE CROSSHATCHING!"....I still hear him barking orders at me like a drill sergeant barking orders to their young whipping boy cadet..the horrible nightmares and flashbacks, the charcoal stained hands, tiny ink splatters on my pants, the hideous Cabana music that gets stuck in your head like how peanut butter gets stuck to the roof of your mouth, and paper cuts, dear god the paper cuts..it never goes away, NEVER!
But really, I don't think he really knew what he was teaching. The only thing I "got" from that class was boat loads of fun and an appreciation for Phillip Glass. I think if he were teaching something he enjoyed he would do a super job, drawing just wasn't his "thing" :P
i think you're right...i used to work with a guy who had derrick for 3D and he said derrick was a great teacher and he wished he were coming back. So maybe his brain just works in 3 dimensional only
