I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.

The plague was carried through the Rift by a moribund man so infected. It escaped containment before we knew what it was, or what it could do. I was on the team which worked to cure it, and the woman who developed the cure was another Riftcomer who had arrived earlier.

I you would like to know more, I can arrange to meet you somewhere and discuss it in person. There are some things I can't discuss over a public journal. [Locked to Amber]If you feel it necessary to find another place to stay, I also know of a place where those humans with supernatural powers are welcome, free of charge.[/Locked]

[Coffee shop address goes here.]

I'm there a lot these days, so if there's any day or time that would be good for you, just say, and I'll be there.

...Though just as a warning, Wednesday nights I'm actually playing guitar there (they've got this little stage out back), so it might not be the best time for talking.

Oh lord. I'm so sorry, Amber. The plague came through the Rift, the same thing I came through several months ago. It's since been cured.

[Locked to Amber]If you want to talk, I'll gladly meet you somewhere of your choosing. In case you're still wary of my intentions, in which case I don't blame you.

Also, the basement of the Conrad, where I used to stay, is no longer safe to people who aren't Archangels; however, the owner of the hotel has cleared out the fourth and fifth floors of the hotel proper for the former basement residents, and I could ask her if you could stay here. She's very kind, so I'm sure she'd be okay with it. And you wouldn't have to pay for it either.[/locked]

{{OOC: D'oh! I completely missed this comment. Sorry!}}

Sure. I'd like to talk. It's been a while since I looked at this, and I'm sorry, but... Sure.

There's this coffee shop I go to a lot.

[Scribbled address goes here.]

I could meet you there... whenever.

As for the other thing... I'll think about it. Maybe I should get out of here. It's like this is where everything dies. Even all my plants are dead, and I'm starting to wonder if that's my fault, with the whole... thing I do. And I don't think Dad would even miss me if I left.

Oh, it's fine, no need to apologize.

I'll see you there in... about two hours or so?
