It's kind of a lot to take in. And I keep reading about angels and demons and stuff. What's going on?

I suppose there are? I know a Fire Elemental, but he and I weren't from this world... We came through a Rift in time and space. The city has several of them and it tends to take people from their universes and leave them stranded in this one.

As for the angels and demons... Well, they're real, apparently. And they walk amongst us, but not in that weird Touched By An Angel sense. There's a war going on between the two, and... It's... Complicated, honestly. I'm not the best person to be explaining this.

It really is a lot to take in. I can't imagine what it would be like to find out that all of this is happening right under your nose as opposed to just realizing it's happening in a completely different world.

I'm not from this world, but in my home world this sort of thing was par for the course. I know some techniques that could help you control your abilities.
