I sympathize with the disconnect notices -- they are a bummer, even if you know you can end up paying what needs to be paid in time.

Good luck with everything. If I lived in your city, I would come by and show support! :) xo

You will also need a copy of your birth certificate if they do not have one on file. It is a sort of new rule. And they can look up your SSI income, so don't wait on that. And if you have any outstanding medical bills from the last three months they can pay them, just ask for retro coverage.

I hope all goes well. Working with Hennepin County can be a bear. But, they may also be able to pay your electric bill, but you would have to go down there, which you probably don't want.

How new? The application says I don't need to show proof of identity because I receive SSI. But it also says they'll ask for more info if they need it. I'm guessing they'll want one or the other at least.

do you know if they accept calls to find out the status of your yearly letter? is it later than you'd normally receive it? i hate waiting on that kind of crap.

I don't know, but I wouldn't call anyhow!
According to the previous commenter I don't need to wait on it anyhow, I can just send a copy of my birth certificate & they can look up my SSI income.

I hope you can make it, but having to work is a good excuse. ;) It's from 10-5.
