Poor Dean. I'm still trying to figure out why this incident was blown so far out of proportion. Half the people I know who were "appalled" by his "psychotic scream" hadn't even *seen* the speech. They' just seen the 15-second soundbyte that was all over the news.

He was excited! The crowd was excited! SFW? Explain to me how this is a BAD thing that must be mulled OVER AND OVER on the 5 o'clock news. Personally, I found it refreshing to see so many riled up about a politician. And one from a little, no-sway state, at that.

And those parents in Iowa? Beyond retarded.

Well, I did see the speech, live I believe, and I have to admit I was a bit concerned about Howie. I think I said something to the effect that he was cracking up on national television, and I wondered if it was going to be a story. (Alas, it was.)

Yes, it's good to see people excited about a politican. But to give a bombastic, upbeat speech after you (as a frontrunner) have just had your ass handed to you is, I think, a touch disturbing. (Though my Anybody But Dean membership might have affected my viewing.) And not exactly in keeping with what remains of political etiquette.

Besides, whether the coverage was fair or not, it was a bad idea. Thus the inclusion.

LOL! I'm from the Anybody But Bush camp myself. ;o) And I didn't mean to contest its place on the list; I'm just still confused by it is all. It did end his presidential hopes, so, yeah, very bad idea. :o)
