I *do* love a good h/c and this certainly fits the bill. Very nice story. Arthur's continued reliving of what could have been - nightmares and his self-doubt and ignoring an awake Merlin out of massive guilt was an extra inspired touch. Best of all the talk and cuddliness at the end.

ps. also loved Merlin tracking/laying in wait for Arthur and figuritvely giving him a swift kick to get his head out of the sand.

Wow! This was absolutely gorgeous. Arthur's pain and guilt and fear was just heart-breaking and yet so believable. Everything about this was beautiful. The love and tension just breath-taking. I don't have enough words to describe how wonderful this was! Also, it reminds me once again of why hurt/comfort is my favourite genre EVER!! Beautiful, beautiful fic ♥
