i really really really wanted to leave a meaningful thoughtful coherent comment. but i'm crying too hard right now. this was so painful and beautiful and i will try to come back later and say something deserving of this. but right now i need to go make some tea and stop crying like an idiot. wonderful job!
i was so looking forward to this from the sign-ups and this was even more amazing than i'd hoped! i loved this!
It's been a damn long time since I've seen the movie, but I think you captured the essence of it wonderfully. I was expecting Merlin to be "Jack" actually and Arthur to be "Rose," as per usual, so it was a wonderful twist that they weren't, and I loved what you did with their storylines here. Clever incorporation of Morgana as well.
Oh, Merlin. You did such a lovely job of capturing his helpless attraction to Arthur, and my heart stuttered during the sketch scene and soared during the love scene even as it already started to break in expectation. You wrote so well the feelings of a young couple who really did believe, at least for a moment, that they were invulnerable. (The boys against the world? Don't I know it.) It was gorgeous and heartbreaking.
And the last vision - I didn't cry during the movie, but damn, woman, I was tearing up there. *weeps*
I legit cried - and seriously, I do not tear up easily. Titantic is the only film that has ever made me cry. I knew it was coming, and still....poor Arthur :'( The image of him turning cold and sinking into the water - chilling.

great imagery with Merlin and Morgana at the staircase and on the ocean with Merlin and Arthur. It's so sad knowing one always had to let go.
loved this and thanks for writing this
Titanic really fits with this fandom as I've read some other stories in other fandoms that just were :\
