This is beautifully written and I like the way you portrayed Merlin's devotion and the fact that he felt fearful of telling Arthur even when Arthur knew of his magic. It's interesting that you keep where Morgana stands a bit vague; it leaves room to imagine how far along she's progressed in turning away from them.

I must say, I adored the fact that Merlin knelt (nacked!) in front of Arthur and Arthur's 'ust reverence for Excalibur. I'm sure there will be sowrd!sex later But I'm wondering whyt he Lady of the Lake wasn't brought up here?

Forgot to mention: I really enjoyed what Morgana had to say about Uther. I wonder if you have a different conclusion in mind then her turning against them?

And iinteresting that you don't specify Uther's ailment. I like the lack of it actually. The fact that the story revolves more around Arthur's coping is almost demonstrating how Arthur's time looms just on the horizon the moment he fell ill.

And how could I forget Arthur's angry defenses! That would be very like him.

And the playlist is not stupid, I like your selection; it's introduced me to a couple new ones!

Hello! Truthfully, I forgot went with artistic license and just didn't include the Lady. Hope it didn't put you off too much? :O

Thank you very much. I purposely made the entire thing vague, like how long Uther's sickness really does last (well, for the winter but still) or what it is, specifically. Even I don't know; maybe something heart-related from all of his anger issues.

And oh yes, glad you caught that bit with Morgana! I'm certain that she doesn't know what to feel about Uther but I like to think that when Arthur asked her about her dreams, it's the right step to reconciliation. And the songs *laughs* they were fun to listen to.
