Arthurian Legend Guys!!!!!

So my Brit Lit class finished L'morte D'Arthur today. We spent practically the whole class talking about how Lancelot gets bragging rights for boning Guinevere in Arthur's bed and how Guinevere was a strumpet/whore and Arthur was a pansy cause he fainted and swooned a lot.

My uni offered an entire class on the Arthurian legend this semester and I wanted to take it SOOOOO BAD but the professor was a total douche. I had him last semester and hated every second of it so opted not to take the class because I didnt' want to risk losing my love for MERLIN!!!

So instead I went out and bought all the Arthurian books I could find (Arthurian Romances, Le Morte Darthur, The Once and Future King, Mists of Avalon, The Merlin Trilogy) and will be reading them over the course of the year.

Research, you know? LOL!

That's so unfortunate. But if I have learned anything since I started being able to have some control over classes/teachers, it's better to take a class with worse subject content than take a class about things you like with an awful teacher!

The first thing I did when I got my Kindle for Christmas was download a bunch of Arthurian legend stuff (and some Sherlock Holmes)!

Like, they've set so much up between Lancelot and Gwen already there's no way we're not following that part of the legends. And I mean. Our Gwen is so much better than the Guinevere of legends. In the piece 'Lanval' Guinevere offers herself to Lanval and when he refuses she's like, "well CLEARLY you must be a gay pedophile and that means Arthur is going to hell!"

I feel like Gwen would be all, "Good for you Arthur, good for you," when she runs off with Lancelot and Merlin makes Arthur happy again. Because she seems to always want the best for everyone!
