I sent 25 bucks to Barbara Boxer cause she talks a lot of shit in the senate and isn't afraid to stand up to the Republican power-monsters. And she had a big part of staging that closed senate session about starting the pre-war intelligence investigation. It's time the Cheney administration is exposed for this shit that led us into this fucked up

while i agree with most of your post, can you really call the S/C nominee a nut case? Don't believe all the Scalito talk - take a look at this week's Time article on him and you will see that while he is a pretty conservative guy, he is incredibly intelligent and actually deserving of the position. While it may seem unfortunate, to the victor goes the spoils in such instances as S/C nominees. Just as Clinton got to put in Ginsburg and Breyer, Bush/Cheney gets Roberts and Alito. One more thing to keep in mind is that once these guys hit the S/C, you never know what they will do. Take for instance Stevens. He was appointed by a Republican and was a registered Republican. Same is true for Souter. O'Connor and Kennedy were also Republican appointees who both ended up being swing voters on the court. of the 9 currently on the court, 7 of them were appointed by Republicans yet they still don't get 7-2 victories ... most are 5-4 at best.
