iphone misery

I had a refillable water bottle in my purse and as I was going to work a few days ago, the lid came loose and water spilled into my purse and onto my iphone. The bottom quarter of my touch screen does not work at all. This means no access to the phone, mail, safari or ipod buttons and no way to end calls and no inserting spaces in texts! I'm sorry to hear that. A busted phone (and a fun one at that) is a nuisance and then some.
Probably late now, but try the universal first aid solution to all electronics soaked in water:

1) Remove battery
2) Put phone in a container like a bowl
3) Fill bowl with rice
4) Let sit overnight

The rice will suck out all the moisture from the phone. If damage is not that serious and it's just currently shorting because of the water, this might fix it.
