I'm glad you are feeling better than you were last night.
When going through difficult times, you (the general you, that is) do have to suck it up some times, but not every time. While self-pity won't get you very far, it can be quite therapeutic to vent to a close friend or cry on their shoulder until you feel better. Knowing someone else is aware of how you feel and actually cares can do wonders for the soul. Keeping it all to yourself so you don't "burden" others with your problems will only further the problem, making you feel more alone and frustrated.
I admire your willingness to "suck it up," just remember that it isn't always the best thing for you.
