Not only was it a lovely event, we made some new friends, which is always nice!

And your mom came up to me and said that we had to get me married off next, which was very sweet. I assured her that I am seeing a very nice boy, so maybe in time.

By the way, the absolutely PRODIGIOUS amount of appetizers was appreciated, as was the heavenly cake.

The appetizers were lifesavers during the yichud (seclusion thing), and yummy, to boot. I'm really glad you enjoyed the cake. My cousin Dan said, "That cake was out of control!" (in a good way) We _finally_ got our spelt carrot cake today -- really amazing :-)

Yeah, it did suck not to have it then. But Evan, the venue manager/head chef, got it from the bakery on Monday. My parents went up to get it from him, and we had some with them Monday night...and some more with Lex's mom today. Yum.
