My horoscope says I should "have some fun today and focus on creative pursuits. Explore new colors and sounds." Bah. Been doing plenty of creative pursuing lately, and I'm a little colored out. As for sounds...I'm in the mood for silence. My sister's been having her business meetings here, lately, and it's been far too noisy for my tastes ( Read more... )

If you're looking for a quiet retreat, you're welcome to come to mine. You won't be the first person I've offered a quiet reading place to.

I believe the newest release is 3 shorter stories instead of one long novel. So if you have less time or ability to concentrate today, Summer Love would be the better choice.

I think I'll have some quiet time tonight. She's having dinner with one of the men she's been working with... She claims it's a business dinner, but I suspect there might be something else going on~

It is. But I tend to prefer full-length novels over short stories. There's more character development and plot building that can occur, so it's easier for me to kind of envision myself as one of them and walk a little in their shoes.

Oh? Well if this man can win over her determination to be man-free than he must be quite special.

The short stories are extensions of previous novels. Have you had a chance to read them all? I believe the series started before you arrived. I've been hooked on the author since the first one. With the buzz around KS Suki I rushed out right away to purchase the first novel and all of the ones since.

Well. I suspect it from his end, at least. Many a man has tried to wiggle his way into her heart. None has yet succeeded, and she's very closed about most of it all. She won't talk to me a bit about whether she likes the guy or doesn't, romantically or otherwise.

I have. It started before I arrived, but it had made it all the way out to my hometown. In fact, I read Healing Love on my trip out here. Conflicted Love had just been released before I left, but as it's about heterosexual relationships, I passed. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my hometown was a bit behind, and I bought Substitute Love within days of my arrival in Stella. I've been caught up since. ^^

I'm afraid to say so but if anyone is being loud at the meetings then it's your sister. She's very... particular, as you said before, about what she wants.

It's a bit of everybody, truth be told. A lot of them seem to try and talk over each other. But yes, definitely her, because she always feels the need to be even louder in order to get people to shut up.

I love her dearly, I really do, but...it's times like this I wish she had somewhere else to hold those meetings.

Her and the manager do seem to argue a lot...

They do seem to have very different opinions on things. I'm hoping that once the inn is in livable condition, she'll take a room there as her own place to stay while she's here in town. That, or if she decides to move to Stella like she's been talking about, that she'll get her own home.
