Hope you've ALREADY read XKCD, this one contains music and video

Check out the new xkcd, it's pretty damn funny.
(A little irritating when you try and hit the 'back' arrow, but you'll get out of the 80's hell eventually.)
ETA: Clicking will result in an unpleasant 80's flashback that shouldn't last more than a few minutes.

What? You're telling me you've never been rickrolled before?
Sorry, I just assumed you could close the tab without clicking through all those 'lyrics'.
Apparently not.
I probably found this so amusing as I'd never heard of rickrolling until I read xkcd a minute ago.

*chuckle* No, never before. Congrats, you're my first time. ;) :P

And that's especially funny cause I'm normally REALLY good about checking the link before clicking it.

That was a highly annoying example of why I normally run with Javascript disabled.

Oh, my...

I remember when that guy first came out - we thought he bore a striking resemblance to Howdy Doody, but with a huge voice.

You have to admit that the abuse of JavaScript is a bit much, and it will scare off the JavaScript-superstitious, but the flashback in and of itself is cool...

You're the third unwitting victim so I'll post a warning in the subject as well as the one I added later.
Yup, Howdy Doody is pretty apt. Until recently I had a Rick Astley cassette around, can't remember any other song from it though.
When I read the actual comic and then googled the explanation my first thought was 'Why Rick Astley?'
Anyone know?

At first, I had javascript disabled... then I enabled it.

*Headdesk, headdesk headdesk*

That was one of the dumbest movements I've done.

I loved how the screen bounced around. Ugh.

Well played though... :P
