I'm pretty sure livejournal isn't a corporate operation. What most people have is a basic account. Theres another account that people pay for (just as you would any web page that you're modifying, for a company or your own use). I was actually on here one day and went to the "help" section and it says : Did You Know? LiveJournal Support is primarily run by volunteers. Got time? Help someone out! Check out the high scores page to see who helps out the most.
Thats basically all I really know about it. It's seems that livejournal actually has no associations with myspace whatsoever. Oh! and unlike myspace with it's 5 billion advertisements I only ever see one on here and it's right before you log on.
